I just want to start this off by saying every other experience I've had at this jersey mikes has been great! The employees, food, and wait time is always top notch. However, when going in today to pick up a sandwich there was a very toxic atmosphere in the restaurant. All the employees were what appeared to be older teenage girls dealing with an elderly male manager who spoke to my boyfriend who placed the order with the same disrespect he spoke to his assumed employee's with. He wasn't wearing a name tag that was visible so we don't even know if he was the manager. Everytime an employee made a mistake he very hastily explained how to do the task and followed it up with a very snarky "do you understand?". My boyfriend had a coupon for a free drink, the coupon didn't specify that it was only for a fountain drink so he proceeded to grab a canned drink out of the fridge. The fountain drink and the canned drink were the same 2.99 price. When my boyfriend grabbed the drink the assumed manager very snarkily let him know that the coupon was only for fountain drinks and followed that up with what seems to be his catch phrase,"Do you understand?". He seemed rushed and annoyed despite the fact that he had only one customer in his resturaunt at 3 pm. If this man is in a leadership position, you should remove him from it before you lose customers and employee's...
Read moreI used to come here often for lunch as I work right down the street, but due to poor customer service I will not be back. The sandwiches are good, however the service can range from so-so to outright hostile. In the past I've seen other customers get spoken to as though they were annoying the employees, but that was usually for inattention and making them repeat themselves (something I imagined I'd never do). A few days ago a younger guy, maybe early twenties, argued with me about what comes on a sandwich and whether I had to ask for it. He asked if I wanted anything else (I only ever get it Mike's way) and I said no, another co-worker reminded him that the sandwich gets bacon and I agreed, he then told me that you have to request it and I pointed out that the board right behind him said bacon right on it. "You still have to ask for it" he replied in a really disrespectful tone. Uh, ok.
This was also the same guy that didn't seem to care that the chips they had in front expired in 2010. "I dunno, I just get them from a box" is what he said. I'm sure they're still fine with all their preservatives, but it does make me question the freshness of their...
Read moreTonight we went and got sandwiches. One sandwich was supposed to be no onions and on whole wheat, the other was supposed to be on gluten free bread also no onions. This place often makes less than perfect sandwiches but most of the time still edible. This time they did not leave off the onions and the gluten free bread turned out to be the parmesan white bread. They put the top of the 'gluten free" bread on the sandwich that was supposed to be whole wheat bread and the whole wheat top went on the "gluten free" sandwich. We took these sandwiches home and now the gluten free person can't eat. The bread was smashed. They were just gross. I only ate a couple bites before these went in the trash. The employees were horsing around and socializing among themselves while paying ZERO attention to their JOB which is why they're there in the first place. I called and got a person who could not even figure out how to make this right. This is not the first time we've had similar trouble with our food. At over $26 for two sandwiches it is just not acceptable. This has happened too...
