Behind the Slice: Jumbo Slice Pizza’s Strengths and Considerations

Discovering Jumbo Slice Pizza after watching a video on DC's best large pizza slices was a game-changer. Full transparency: the pizza here is beyond exceptional—no notes needed. However, my focus shifts to the customer experience, crucial for out-of-towners. The initial impression is hindered by a visibly dilapidated interior, lacking attention and care. Cleanliness concerns arise, impacting the perceived hygiene of the food station.

Moreover, encountering an individual engaging in inappropriate activities (such as literally smoking crack out of a glass pipe) raises discomfort. It was around 6:30 PM when we arrived to eat so it was a lot to see at such an early hour. While understanding the need for a safe space, establishing conditions for shelter-seekers could enhance the atmosphere. And considering the winter conditions, I understand the need for a safe space, but owners could establish conditions—no drug paraphernalia. The lack of seating and the scent of smoke prompted us to grab our order and leave. Yet, the outstanding pizza, efficient service, and friendly kitchen staff can't be overlooked.

Jumbo Slice Pizza has significant potential with its phenomenal pizzas, straightforward menu, and nostalgic 90s jumbo slices. However, a strategic investment in a well-maintained storefront is crucial. The perfect combination of jumbo pizza slices and a charming interior could evolve this phenomenal pizza spot to dominate as THE pizza spot in DC.

For those seeking the perfect jumbo pizza slice in DC, Jumbo Slice Pizza is a 5/5, but the atmosphere is a 1/5, with hope that some tough love will be given to truly elevate and...

While the pizza was okay and satisfied our late night craving, the short woman taking orders was extremely rude for no reason. I didn’t hear her trying to get my attention to order from the corner because of so many people yelling in the line and I guess that bothered her to the point where she threw my card back at me after paying. Rolled her eyes the entire time while I tried to scream the obviously simple order and then got frustrated again when I couldn’t hear her asking what type of soda (which I made sure to specify when I ordered, but of course I understand she probably didn’t hear me because 20 somethings were yelling as they do on a Saturday night on 18th street). I’m not expecting world renowned customer service by a pizza joint at midnight but just a bit of decency would be appreciated, or perhaps just redirect your frustration with the party making it difficult for you to...

The slice is big, obviusly. But i think that they should use a better quality for their ingridients. i had the meat pizza and the sausage had a bad taste like old or simply like the cheap ones. I know that is impressive the size but i preffer the quality instead of the quantity. The chesse is good, and the pepperoni was perfect. As a costumer i did not like that when i went through the doors the cashier was eating. It is not professional, i know that it is a fast food restaurant but the little details make differences between good and perfect. The floor was dirty and the walls were grassy. Lastly and most important, the place SMELLS LIKE CAT'S FOOD. It is a carry-out. But i does not mean that they do not require a correct cleanliness...

So we ordered late last night, I got the buffalo slice and my wife got a cheese slice and add pineapple. So apparently the base of my buffalo pizza was tomato base... wth is that. Then my wife slice shows up burnt and no pineapple. Worst $30 I've ever spent on pizza. I'm from NY where I follow this company from sm so I came here to go, visit my grandfather and arlington cemetery. On my six year wedding anniversary. Safe to say if and when I come back it won't be for this pizza. ( Also, we couldn't get a hold of anybody last night to fix our situation)
