4/3/25: This place appeared to be very racist against whites. Well, in my situation, me white, and my girlfriend Mexican. We came in, sat down and ordered drinks. I asked to keep my tab open, but she told me that they âdonât do tabsâ. It was over 50 dollars for a mixed drink, a beer, and a Jack Daniels. The check had a service charge of appx 8 dollars on it. So, as we are drinking our drinks at the bar, and listening to karaoke, another âwhiteâ couple came in. They lasted about 5 minutes and then walked out. Most of the patrons (all black) waved at them as they went out the door like âbye bye Feliciaâ. It was pretty obvious. So, I didnât notice everyone paying after each drink. So, I ordered us another round of drinks. I was curious if there was going to be yet ANOTHER service charge. She brought the drinks. My girlfriend went to pick mine up, to hand it to me, and it slipped through her fingers (as the classy plastic cup was wet) and the entire drink spilled on the bar. The bartender saw it and came over with a towel. She then got the check, did not even offer to give me a replacement drink, and brought me the entire bill, again with an 8 dollar service charge. We were the only âwhitesâ in there, and we were very blatantly discriminated against. #DCOfficeofhumanrights(OHR) 4/4/25: After reading the managements response to my review; I truly hope you are trying to take care of this âinternallyâ. We were very obviously treated differently because of the color of our skin, and that is just not acceptable. Offering to âpay for my spilled drinkâ is somewhat of an insult honestly. You failed to address two items I mentioned. 1) The patrons literally waved at the backs of (smiling and laughing) the white couple leaving the establishment. They (the patrons) were basically saying âget out of OUR placeâ. It was extremely uncomfortable when they noticed me watching this behavior and they suddenly dropped their hands. Nobody batted an eye at this behavior, including the staff. It seemed to be the norm. Also, I agree that a service charge may be listed on the menu. But, is it your policy to not accept tabs? Why would she not let me run a tab? Is it your policy to make everyone pay a service fee of 8 dollars on every drink?!? Iâm sure the readers here would like to know that. Can you explain to me why we were told no tabs allowed, and then have a service charge added to each order? It did not seem like this was the case for...
Read moreDo NOT go here unless you are cool with not eating, being in a small crowded place and get rude customer service. We came here last night, a Saturday night around 8:40ish. We placed our order at 8:58pm and ordered some wings, fries and a drink. I got my drink and finished it. 40 minutes passed by and our food hadn't came out, so I asked the bartender for an update, she rolled her eyes at me and said "it's coming." I said okay, trying to be patient. An hour passed and I talked to the other bartender and asked her and she told me to just talk to the bartender that placed our order, but she was on the other side so I waited some more until she came back around. I talked to her again and said hey it's been over an hour and we still haven't gotten our food. Her response was "idk it's the kitchen they're taking a while to make the fries, it's coming" like what type of customer service is that???? Are y'all not trained to apologize and say you're gonna go check and see what's going on? I worked at a restaurant before and the attitude this bartender was giving and the lack of customer service was insane. I waited for another 15 mins and decided I wanted to leave so I asked for a refund for my order. We only got a refund for the food but they still kept ALL their fees, the tips, the service fee they charge and everything. Mind you, we paid a tip and fees based on the ENTIRE order not just the drink. So ONE drink ended up costing me almost $30 dollars. I asked for a full refund and the managers excuse was that because I finished my drink, he could not process a full refund. Are you serious?? How about a refund for making giving us the worst customer service and making us wait AN HOUR AND A HALF FOR FOOD!? The place was also VERY small and it was very crowded and they were still letting people in. Worst restaurant at the wharf. Do...
Read moreMy first time going to this location and my first time in a private karaoke room and I loved it!
We made reservations online for a party of 6 in a small room. Upon walking to the front of the establishment, we were carded, bag-checked and told to proceed inside until the rest of the party arrived. We had the option to extend beyond the 2 hours, but we chose to stay within the allotted time.
The interior was dark, but very sleek and classy, it set the mood to sing our hearts out. There was an overhead light available if needed. Upon entering the room, an employee explained how to search for songs and which button to push for service. They provided a large bottle of water and plastic cups, but also had food and drinks available for ordering. We did hear the music from the next room, but it didn't bother us. There are packaged disposable covers for the microphone, but we didn't see them until halfway through.
Below are the prices for booking a room. The room size is based on the number of guests, date and time. The price is per hour (with a 2-hour minimum) and based on the room size, but every room includes a DC tax, service fee and gratuity.
-Small room: 10 guests, $68/hr -Medium room: 15 guests, $98/hr -Large room: 20 guests, $128/hr -VIP large room: 25 guests, $168/hr
They do allow people under age 21; however, the person booking the room must be present for them to enter. There is a bar available to anyone carded in the "lobby"/entrance. There is also an open karaoke stage available...I believe at no cost.
There is paid street parking and parking garages near by.
Would I return? Maybe, only because I...
