Showed up with a friend by bike to this McDonald's location yesterday 10 minutes before close. We were told that they cannot serve us through the drive through and cannot take orders and are we must order via the app and then wait out front. Okay fine.
We installed the app and ordered ordered two shakes. Okay fine.
During this, they served a trucker via the front door without the app. Nice fellow, restocks plants for local nurseries. He got some food and a shake. We then stood in front of the door waiting for our order to be fulfilled in clear line of sight of the staff, until they closed up without receiving our order. We tapped on the window and were told that we showed up 3 minutes before close. This lie also came with a fake apology after implying it was our fault for showing up late. Not fine.
Do your staff hate cyclists? I do not know. Did they want to close up? Sure. But tell us that. Tell us you're closed. But do not tell us to install an app, order, stand out front, while you watch us, serve another customer after us, and close the shop while we're visibly waiting. This is not fine. Do not waste others' time. Responding to my friend's inquiry about whether our order would be fulfilled by lying about what time we arrived and blaming us is simply gaslighting, which goes without question as not fine.
We know what time it is too. And if you care about your time, care about ours too. You could have simply said 'we are closed'. You could care are about being honest. You could care about not lying to others. You care about having some minimum modicum of human decency. You could have acted like a fine person. You...
Read moreDear McDonald's Customer Service, I am writing to report a frustrating and unprofessional experience I had at your Kingston, WA location (ZIP 98346) on May 18, 2025, at approximately 2:40 PM. I ordered food and a hot fudge sundae. As I was leaving, I noticed the sundae was extremely underfilled, especially considering the $3.19 price. I calmly returned to the counter to ask about it. The person at the register was the manager himself, and instead of listening or offering any help, he was immediately rude and dismissive. I asked him politely to fix the issue, and he flatly refused. When I said I would take photos of the product, he laughed and said, "Go for it." As I walked away, he began talking about me to another manager, not realizing I was still nearby. His tone and attitude were disrespectful and completely uncalled for. I left the restaurant feeling embarrassed, frustrated, and disrespected by someone who should be setting the example for customer service. I am requesting a formal apology and a refund or voucher to make up for both the substandard product and the way I was...
Read moreA cozy franchise with a contemporary decor with a hinted accent of logging history. The staff was motivated, friendly and coordinated well with their kiosk and counter staff. I had not noticed a delay in processing our order, though the young lady that took the order provided us with a complimentary card for a free meal at our next visit; explaining the delay of our french fries. We we're quite satisfied with our expert and we thanked them for our experience. One more notable, as a blue-collar worker, I express content with this franchise's decision to keep bathrooms excessable without needing a passcode or franchise member to assist. Locked bathrooms are offensive in nature, does not keep out what it's intended and patrons with wheelchairs are at a disadvantage should they need to double-back and ask for entry. This is a positive thing; keeping it open and I applaud this. Overall, I felt comfortable and my family...
