I love everything about this place and this location! Lots of space for social distancing, high ceilings, sanitizer stations everywhere, and all employees are in masks. Indoor and outdoor seating available for La Cosecha.
But letās talk food.... because thatās why weāre here. The beef empanadas are by far the best in the DMV. They are so FULL. The crust is never soggy. And their fillings are super flavorful. I highly recommend the picarones and chicken (i also added a side of the fried yuca). This dish is only served on Sundays so donāt miss out!
Picarones are a Peruvian dessert that originated in Lima during the viceroyalty. It is somewhat similar to bunĢuelos, a type of doughnut brought to the colonies by Spanish conquistadors. Its principal ingredients are squash and sweet potato and itās served in doughnut form and covered with syrup/honey made from chancaca which is brought in from Peru at Peruvian Brothers.
Chancaca is a typical Peruvian, Bolivian, and Chilean warm, sweet sauce made of raw unrefined sugar from sugarcane. It is often flavored with orange peel and cinnamon, and is consumed on sopaipillas or picarones.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife, our friend, and I visited Peruvian Brothers last Saturday, and it was an absolute delight! Fresh off a trip to Peru, we were craving authentic Peruvian flavors, and Peruvian Brothers delivered beyond expectations. I had the Chicharron Sandwich, my wife got the Lomo Saltado, and our friend ordered the Pollo Saltado; each dish was freshly made, bursting with flavor, and as close to Peru as you can get in the DC area.
A standout was their Pilsen Callao beer, straight from the Peruvian Brothersā hometown near Callao, Peru; such a rare find! We also grabbed a bottle of their rocoto sauce, which I canāt recommend enough. Itās got that perfect savory heat, like a Peruvian Frankās Red Hot, and Iām putting it on everything.
Weāve been fans since their food truck days, and itās amazing to see them thrive with two permanent locations. During our visit, we chatted with one of the owners, who mentioned they host live music and happy hour every Friday at their Amazon HQ spot in Arlington. Weāre already planning to go! Hands down, Peruvian Brothers is the best Peruvian restaurant in the area. Canāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHIS PLACE IS IT! I've been living in the DMV for 18 yrs and have gone to pretty much every Peruvian restaurant and Rotisserie Chicken spot throughout the DMV mainly because of my love for Peruvian Cuisine. The main problem I've had in my experiences was that I could never get the full great experience, some Peruvian Restaurants and Chicken places had great food but poor customer service or they had good customer service but the food was not that great. But that all changed this past weekend when I visited Peruvian Brothers at La Cosecha. The atmosphere was great, the food is amazing and their customer service was excellent. Their Rotisserie Chicken is the best I've had period, their yucca fries are crunchy and delicious and they have such great variety of Peruvian sauces to go with everything. The cherry on the top for me was this amazingly refreshing Pisco Sour Slushy they have which is to die for, it's my new favorite alcoholic drink. I can't wait to go back for more, this is my new Peruvian spot. I recommend it to everyone, you will not be...
