The food is great but the reason for low review is because of the customer service and how dirty the place is. I came in at a slow time to get a chicken sandwich. I went up to go place my order and the young lady didn't even greet me or told me someone will be right with me. She left and came back and asked what I wanted. Mind you it is only 3:30pm on a slow Sunday. I told her a grill chicken sandwich and went on from there, I went to go pay and the cashier was really nice and showed good customer service. I went back to tell her my toppings. And, the cashier told her that it was a chicken sandwich. Than she turned to me with an angry expression and said "I am going to remake your sandwich again" and I agreed. I thought maybe she didn't hear me or I said it wrong, who knows no big deal. But! What really got me upset was she turned to her coworker and said "She said grilled cheese sandwich right, I know I am crazy!" Uhm.... For one I did not say you were, and two if I made a mistake let me know in a kind way and no big deal. Instead of having an attitude problem and whispering underneath your breath. I feel sorry for the employees that have to work with her. But, the rest of the team is great tho! They just need to...
Read moreI love Potbelly’s, but the experience today was not the usual visit. There same to be a weird dynamics at this particular location. There were a ton of employees at the store, except when it was time to make the sandwiches, ring up the customers or be at all helpful to anyone. Since today was Valentine’s Day, the free offer was a free cookie with any sandwich purchase, I was like cool. I place my order with a very pleasant, professional young man, who seems to be the only one working. There was three other customers behind me, and this same employee was doing it ALL! Making sandwiches, taking overs and ringing up the customers. After about three or four sandwiches came out of the little conveyer belt there was a very rude employee working (finally) to put toppings on my sandwich. This store has the best location, one block from The White House, and on Pennsylvania Avenue. If you happen to go to this restaurant, pack your...
Read moreThe sandwich was good but their service was bad. It’s been bad for a while now. I’m not sure what the manager or owner is doing with this establishment. They’ll promptly respond to some reviews and say they’ll look into the matter but when nothing changes, it shows that they don’t care.
None of the employees say hi, or I'll be right with you. Instead we stand there for minutes and watch the employees go back and forth and talking to each other without anyone acknowledging us. Most of the time they seem bothered or annoyed that customers walk in. Lastly, it’s a sandwich we’re getting. It should be quick. They also leave our sandwiches on the oven rack when they come out because they’re busy doing other things. Spending more than ten minutes in there doesn’t...
