Zero Stars!! Tuesday January 19th at 7:29 p.m. I have just experienced what could possibly be the most confusing situation regarding delivery that I have ever encountered. I placed an order, direct call, with this specific carry out; they took my order, they take my telephone number and address, and I confirmed whether or not I should pay in cash or if the driver would have access to swipe a card. A card confirmation was in place to pay upon delivery. Unknowingly, the delivery driver tells me upon arrival to meet them outside at the truck so that I can make the transaction outside of my home so they didn't have to exit their vehicle to walk to my door, 6 steps from the sidewalk. Apparently, instead making it clear over the phone that there is hesitation about delivering to this neighborhood, I was told they would cancel the order in hand, right outside of my home. I literally just moved (purchased) into this neighborhood and have no way of knowing who will and won't come to an area due to apparently negative stigma attached...as if neighborhoods don't change. I purchased this home with my little one because it read safe and showed significant changes from it's past. This establishment has literally boxed Jay St. NE in Deanwood, as a place of violence and upheaval, not to trusted to evolve. This is terribly unfortunate and small minded of this business and they need to be the ones to evolve and grow in what business saavy looks like. You're cutting into your own profits by REDLINING! In this country's current posture with COVID19 and so many businesses losing under financial constraints, my suggestion for your business is to reconsider and rethink how you alienate and establish barriers. Change is inevitable and to discount and discard is foolish. Deanwood Neighborhood, DC, this is a PSA for us all. We, good people are being ostracized. I am NOT accustomed to this type of dismissal or treatment and will NOT...
Read moreI had ordered three fried chicken wings along with shrimp fried rice for my sunday afternoon meal. The lady on the telephone had poor customer service. Instead of greeting me, she answered the phone" Pick up or delivery?" That is not the first thing that should come out of your mouth when you're answering the phone, and I am tired of it. Shoop, greet me first, I am about to spend my money in YOUR services. Second, the delivery driver is a robot. He does not interact as a human being, the First thing he does is hold his hand out for my card, I would have been wrong if I had pulled back and made him greet me the right way like he had manners. Anybody else I order from knows how to interact with me, greet me and ask me how I am doing. It's not complicated, that's etiquette customer service, I should know because I work in customer service. How about a thank you and have a great day. That's the third time I received service like that, but never again from them, this is where I...
Read morePlaced an order for delivery over the phone, quick and easy. The delivery driver called me to come outside 5 minutes before he arrived, in 99 degree weather and was taking a personal call while I was trying to pay which resulted in me literally standing next to the car waiting on my food. Apparently they do not come to the door? Then asked me for a tip ?! Anyway, the place is affordable. I ordered broccoli w/ brown sauce and white rice which was really good. I also ordered the pepper steak, and it was okay however, there were more peppers and onions than steak in my bowl and I requested spicy in which the person on the phone stated that they could do but it was as mild as ever so I probably wouldn’t...
