When it comes to indulging in a delightful Sunday brunch, Shaw Tavern has become my go-to destination. Admittedly, I must confess that I have developed a particular fondness for their Shaw Brunch Skillet, which has become my perennial choice during these weekend excursions. The Shaw Brunch Skillet is an absolute marvel. Served piping hot on a sizzling skillet, this magnificent creation showcases a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. The star of the dish is undoubtedly the succulent pork sausage, perfectly cooked to retain its juiciness and impart a delectable savory essence to the entire ensemble. Nestled alongside the sausage, the accompanying home fries, bell peppers, onions, and jalapeños contribute a tantalizing medley of vibrant flavors, providing a delightful contrast to the richness of the dish. The combination is further enhanced by the velvety goodness of melted cheddar cheese, which adds a creamy and indulgent touch to each forkful. And let us not forget the pièce de résistance – two perfectly cooked Sunnyside up eggs, their golden yolks eagerly waiting to burst forth and coat the skillet's contents with a velvety richness. The Shaw Brunch Skillet is not only a feast for the taste buds but also a delight for the senses. The portion size is incredibly generous, leaving me satiated throughout the day. It is truly a meal that offers remarkable value, ensuring that every visit to Shaw Tavern is nothing short of a memorable gastronomic experience. My preferred seating arrangement at Shaw Tavern is at the bar, where I consistently receive attentive and friendly service. The staff members behind the counter exhibit a genuine passion for their craft, as they effortlessly attend to the needs of each guest. Their attentive nature, coupled with their knowledge of the menu, creates an inviting atmosphere that only enhances the overall dining experience. In conclusion, Shaw Tavern has secured its position as my ultimate Sunday brunch destination, primarily due to their extraordinary Shaw Brunch Skillet. With its harmonious blend of flavors, generous portion size, and attentive service, it surpasses expectations and provides a delightful start to a lazy weekend morning. Whether you choose to sit at the bar or opt for a different seating arrangement, Shaw Tavern is sure to leave a lasting impression and have you eagerly planning your next brunch adventure.

Me & a friend decided to patronize on Friday. Disappointing that we stood there so long thinking it was self seating. Finally, a waitress walks up from her head down in her cell phone to assist us.(Unprofessional). We get seated let’s be clear it wasn’t busy at all. Then we just decided to go outside where we self seated, and finally a waiter comes over tells us to scan (QR)! We ordered our food of course we had to ask for water!! I thought we would be Asked!! Finally, the food arrives quickly, tasteless, and not well done at all. Condiments were in a container that wasn’t not well presented. The waiter came back after awhile, and because we are professionals we did tip. I would give zero starts , but onto the benefits of considering it was an off night which is no excuse. I don’t care to return. The fajita had nobody seasoning to it. Very nice looking in appearance. Taste was tough, and not impressed. The chicken tenders where not cooked throughout.

Good place to watch a World Cup game. We were in town and looking for a place for my son to watch the Argentina game (by the way, it was a great game going into a OT and then a kick-off). My son had the grilled chicken wings, which were good and crispy. I had the country fried steak, which was cooked well. The only thing I could say about the meal was the biscuit was a bit dry, and what I mean is that when you broke it in half, it crumbled like a cracker, it was ok because I got my eggs cooked over medium so I just scooped it up with the egg yolk. We also had the chicken and waffles. The meals were good we just wish they had come out a little hotter. The service we had was really good, I didn't get the man's name, but he was on point with our drinks and food and always asking if we needed anything. Ok... so I just happened to be hungry and coming from an all night DC rave party, you guys know the drill. Meanwhile I look and I see Shaw's Tavern. Might as well stop in for a brunch because I'm totally in the moment and don't know what's next. Brunch will definitely help right??? Right. So no expectations whatsoever, and you guys know I'm picky! SEVERAL YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY, so if I tell you there's gold... GO. So I happened to stop in, found an end seat at the bar and ordered. I knew for a fact I needed a Bloody Mary, and it had to be a darn good one. Never told the bartender Jake that I wanted a spicy one... but I did. And he could tell. I spotted my drink and was directed to a quick capture menu to save the bartender Jake some time I know, but I didn't ever feel left out. It was almost a sense of going to someone else's backyard cookout without being invited and being treated like family. I ordered Med Rare steak n eggs which was cooked to order perfectly and when the plate was dropped, servers were waiting to see if I wanted something else which I did. I wanted A1 sauce... I know, but I wanted it. And in seconds it was there. There was a guy flying through the establishment like lightning and killing it so I tried to stop him to get his name but I didn't because he was that freaking fast! Don't worry, I saw Jake at the end of the meal, thanked him and asked who's the guy with the rocket boosters on, he's phenomenal. He needs a shoutout. Jake said his name was Brendan. So... thanks, Jake, Brendan, and EVERYONE at Shaw's Tavern. I felt warm, invited, at home... and the food especially the service was awesome! If anyone is looking for a great place to feel at home, welcome, and in the mood for a down home Tavern feeling... you need to have a seat at...

Shaw’s Tavern is one of those rare gems that feels like home the moment you step inside. From the first time I visited, I was struck by how welcoming the atmosphere is. Whether you are coming in for brunch, dinner, or just a drink, the vibe is always inviting, warm, and full of life.

The staff is what truly makes the experience memorable. They go beyond simply providing good service. They genuinely care and remember the little things that make you feel seen and valued. That personal touch is hard to find anywhere else, and it extends to everyone who walks in the door.

I have even hosted a private event here, and the staff treated it with the same care and attention as if it were their own celebration. They made the experience seamless and unforgettable, and that kind of dedication speaks volumes. Over time, they have become like family, not only to me but to the people I bring with me.

The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistent. Their brunch is unmatched. The mimosas deserve their own standing ovation, and the menu has something for everyone, whether you are in the mood for comfort food or something a little more elevated.

More than anything, Shaw’s is a place where memories are made. It is not only about the meals or the drinks. It is about the feeling you walk away with, full, happy, and grateful for the time spent there.

If you are looking for a spot that blends community, comfort, and exceptional hospitality, Shaw’s...
