Not good service AT ALL from the waitress. She walked past us SEVERAL times without asking us if we needed anything but rushing over to other customers in front of us, behind us, and beside us. We told her what we wanted for happy hour but had to go through 20 questions until she finally got us a happy hour menu. :(. She then served two customers and chatted with them before we even got the beer we ordered. We waited for our wings and fish and chips while she took orders from another couple and went back to chat with the other customers she served while we waited and wated for appetizers. The bus boy came by, saw our empty table, and asked us what foods we were waiting on. We told him, and he went right away and came back with our appetizers while the witress glanced over but continued to chat with the other customers and serve new customers. EXACTLY 5 minutes into our appetizers, the waitress brings our main meal, which we told her was supposed to be a carryout item for a specific time before we got ready to leave. We were planning on staying there for the band and having a few drinks and appetizers. Then taking our HOT meal back to our hotel. We tried to tell her, but she put the plates down and rushed past us. At this point, the only courtesywe got was from the bus boy who told us his name was Brady. The waitress never asked if we wanted water. We got no water. We needed extra napkins for the wings, and the bus boy brought them. We were there for one and a half hours, watched 4 sets of customers come ,get served by our waitress, and leave. While she only visited our table 1 time. She never asked how the food was and didnt seem to care that we hadn't touched a bite of the main meal as it sat getting colder. I tried to leave the bus boy a tip but he said we didnt have to do that. So we asked for the check from the waitress paid and went over to the bar to finish listening to the band. At the bar the drink service...

I've been here multiple times and have been let down every time. ** TD:DR a lot of the food is overly greasy and aside from the grease it's also flavorless. ** The first time i came i was recommended the whiskey mac and cheese, the cheese was very... subtle? All I could really taste was grease and a little bit of the meat. The dish also had an odd habit of tasting worse the more you ate of it. I don't recall what I had on the side as the first visit was 2 years ago. I came again in that same year and my experience was comparable to the first, i ordered the shepherds pie but it was extremely greasy and didn't have a lot of flavor. This year (2025) I came back and hoped maybe it would be better, and to be safe I ordered fish and chips instead of what I got the first 2 times. A good sign was that the meal came out piping hot and looked good, however the fish was COMPLETELY flavorless, even moreso than the macncheese or the shepherds pie. Once again the only flavor i could get was grease, and a little breading as well. The fish also didn't taste very fresh at all. I would've hoped a restaurant so close to the ocean and rivers would have fresh fish. This time i was dining with more people so after they were done i asked if i could try what they had leftover. The burger was pretty good, someone who had the mac and cheese let me try and it was just like it was 2 years ago; bland and greasy. The main good thing i can say is that the fries served here are really good.

A minor nitpick I had is that I could feel every footstep in the restaurant, im unsure if it was just my chair but it got obnoxious pretty quickly.

If you do choose to eat here; do not order the fish (bland and probably frozen), and do not order the mac and cheese or shepherds pie (grease trap in the shape of food). I'd say to try...

i’m giving this two stars and one reason is because the environment is very welcoming and the other is because their cream Brulé is really good except one time I got it and the top was too burnt but the custard part was good. I’ve only ate here a couple times, the first time I got the salmon it was awful the second time I got the fish and chips. I didn’t care for that either and the third time I had breakfast and I ordered the biscuits and gravy. I didn’t really care for the biscuits because they seemed very dry, but the gravy was really good and the potatoes were good and the lady went out of her way to make a mai tai what she didn’t know how to make and it ended up being pretty good. overall, I find it to be a very friendly locals restaurant but I wouldn’t recommend it to those of you who don’t like corn beef hash because a lot of their food has that in it.

UPDATE i absolutely love the gravy on the soda farls and gravy BUT sometimes when I order this dish, the biscuits are really good and sometimes they’re extremely dry. today the biscuits are extremely dry and hard and I asked the waitress how old the biscuits were and she told me that they were made the night before which means I’m guessing that they refrigerate them overnight which I don’t think they always do but in this batch they did that and the biscuits are not good today. when I asked the waitress about it, she seemed irritated that I said anything about it.i added a photo of the fry biscuits aug 3...

Took the family to Shawn O'Donnell's restaurant an American Grill & Irish Pub. Greeted at the door and promptly seated. I asked to be seated in a specific area and they accommodated me with no issues. The wait staff were knowledgeable and patient. Our waitress 's name was Andi. We had never eaten here but we knew we were here for the Mac and Cheese. It is called Irish Whiskey Mac & Cheese. I ordered the Mac & Cheese and shared it with my daughter and the wife ordered Tater Tots. She was not a fan of the limited menu. 0ur order came with soda bread and honey butter. The soda bread was warm like it just came from a wood fired stove somewhere in Ireland. The honey butter complimented the soda bread and was very good. The Mac & Cheese was exceptionally good. Full of flavor with a crispy layer of cheese accented with parsley. The corned beef that was in it was tender and bursting with flavor. Hands down I would recommend this to anyone who likes Mac & Cheese. You can order it with or without the red onion. I also ordered a 4 piece fish and chips. The fish was good and crispy and the fries were hot and crispy on the outside and soft inside. When it was all said and done the bill was pretty tall, but worth it. Before I left I took some photos of the restaurant. The atmosphere was really comfortable. They played Irish Pub music over the speakers. They also had some very interesting memorabilia on the walls.

While portions are not large, the food is comforting, the setting welcoming, and the service friendly and courteous. Background music was at the perfect level - not too loud, not too quiet. The design and decoration in the restaurant was welcoming - it did feel very much like a family restaurant. All the dark-stained wood and decoration including local historical photos really added to the relaxing Irish pub ambiance. The salt and pepper shakers were a fun, light-hearted touch. Classic Irish beer served with a surprise design in the foam was an unexpected delight. The shepherd’s pie was quite tasty, and the mix of lamb and vegetables was just right. For a mix of sweet and savory, the rich, deep flavor of the bacon on the monte cristo put it over the top; unfortunately the halves were served stacked, and so hot and soft there was not a way to eat them by hand. The plates used are smaller, with little extra space on them. The powdered sugar was a nice touch, but made it a bit messier. Clam chowder was thick and rich, the perfect balance between clam and potatoes and sauce. Their creme brûlée desserts are just right, with crystallized sugar on top and a rich custard beneath. Relaxing ambiance, abundant comfort food, and friendly service - this is a great restaurant to go to after a long day or week at work.
