I had a very good experience at Sweet Sosumba Cafe. I ordered the Jerk Ital Stew and a Mango Pineapple smoothie. I loved the fact that it's cooked the traditional way. Ital. No added salt just natural herbs and spices so you can add as much/little salt and pepper to your liking. There was nice roots dub playing and it just felt cozy and nice. Loy (I hoped I spelled it right😊) and I had very pleasant talk about back home and how times have changed (good and bad) I was full so I took my smoothie home to my 7yo who gave it a big thumbs up 👍🏾. Needless to say I will be back. Good vibes✨

I guess the food is good aslong as you don't go when time to close...no customer service what soever i ordered the curry chicken coconut rice and peas my food was cold and dry no fork or napkins I asked the lady for some gravy on my food she say no we don't have any and shuts the door in my face. Im traveling from atl passing threw and decide to stop and get food a friend recommended this spot to me its the customer service and the food for me I will never come again no sir! Take ya money and treat you rude as this food is!

I got the ital dinner (stew, cabbage, rice & peas) and the sea moss drink made with coconut milk and it was all delicious. Wish there was more chikn in my stew though. What one reviewer described as bland I'd describe as clean flavors; the drink was not milkshake sweet; the dinner had all your classic flavors without saltiness we often equate with flavor. If I'm ever back in the city I hope to try the lentil patties--they were (not surprisingly) sold out.

OMGGGGG!!! Sweet Sosumba Vegan Jamaican Restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The food is super delicious and satisfying. The quality and taste of the food is absolutely outstanding. My first visit - I ordered the coconut curry chickpea dinner with rice and peas and cabbage. The meal was just delish. Let me tell you - I had dreams about getting more of that coconut curry chickpea meal in my palates. My return visit today - I ordered the jerk chickun meal with peas and rice with cabbage. One word: Outrageously delicious. And, to top it off, I purchased a vegan lemon cupcake and brownie for my non-vegan daughters who could not stop raving in disbelief that these sweet treats were vegan. I say all of this to say that - If you are in the area or have access to UberEats or PostMates, please treat yourself to this place. The cherry on top: The staff/owners are very friendly and pleasant. I will keep coming back as long...

As a long time vegan and lover (and maker) of Caribbean food I was super excited to try this place. If you are thinking that the food will taste like traditional soul touching jamaican food that just happens to be vegan... wrong! This is some gentrified version of jamaican food...they should say "inspired," or "influenced." For what it was the food was pretty and good, as in "wholesome and filling," it just wasn't what I went there to get. The food just wasn't flavorful and even the sorrel was watered down. I will try it again but probably opt for the smoothies and such rather than a meal. Oh, the lady was really nice that worked there but she could definitely use some support. As more folks walked in she's trying to balance the register, making the food, taking online/phone orders, and keeping tables clean. That's too much for one person, the wait time would be much less if she...

I was so excited to try this place as I love Jamaican food and I am working on becoming a vegan. Now I regret even wasting my time and money there. I waited for my food close to 2 hours, and after waiting for one hour I was told that they ran out of rice and peas so I had to get plain brown rice. After finally receiving my food I noticed the portions were very small, rice was extremely dry. After waiting so long for the food, I expected it to taste good but it was just bland. I ordered a pina colada smoothie and I got something that had the consistency of juice. I will not be going back to this restaurant; this restaurant has been the worst restaurant I have ever been to. I wish I could...
