Behold, Amtrak's new fleet of NextGen Acela trains. @Amtrak announced today that these high-speed, premium trains will start running between Washington, D.C., New York and Boston on Aug. 28. They'll have more seats per train, individual USB ports, reading lights and "an enhanced on-board dining experience." No word on pricing yet, but we hope that more trains means more affordable fares for travelers. cc @We are a newspaper.

Google just released its 2025 analysis of travel trends — which crunched about 4 years of Google Flights data — to determine when the cheapest holiday airfare should pop up this year. I wrote about the results for @We are a newspaper. ‬ (but tl;dr: set up price alerts now, book when you see a good deal, don't wait too long.)

IHello Washington Post. Looking forward to meeting with your Crime Reporter regarding: Avril Stacy is a Victim of Adoption Fraud in Cleveland County, Norman Oklahoma. I had a program with the State Department. I'm retired from that program. I've been waiting almost 7 years for help. Is there someone preventing you from talking to me about the adoption fraud case in Cleveland County? I want to press charges for adoption fraud. This is the United States right? Not Mexico's jurisdiction. My current occupation is Real estate Developer. HGTV style. I've been a Real estate investor for about 20 years. I'm not really sure why I had that State Department program. I believe it was a set up orcastrated by David Borens cia contacts to distance me and cyber isolate me from my son Liam on Lee Fithians behalf. Very dirty group. It all started when I filled a report with Homeland Security in 2011 after I had a home invasion at 4am the night of my 39th birthday. The Norman police refused to call it an attempted assault or home invasion. The police in Norman would routinely cover up or down play crimes in Norman. I knew the invasion had something to do with a cyber gang in Norman. They would use spyware to peep on women and children in that town. I had been FB friends with Bar Rafieli at that time. I was able to escape the assault, but they stole my bikini and left my son's swimming trunks behind. They were both in a backpack next to the front door from a visit to see my parents for my birthday. There has been a lot of bad activity. Snipping at mine and my neighbor Ruth's house from the rooftop building from the alley behind my house. Graffiti saying LESBIAN spray painted on the back fence. Dirty condoms left in her mailbox. Verbal threats from anarchist gypsies with connections to the mosque and also connected through the underground pot and drug scene in Norman. Friends of Lee via her friend circle.

I'm still waiting for help. All I get is my phone hacked. No help from Homeland yet. Can I meet with a Crime Reporter regarding the adoption fraud. The Freemedia is still working right? My case doesn't fit in their cookie cutter I guess. I paid for an adoption in Kazakhstan 8 years later the woman who helped facilitate it Lee Fithian abducted my son and the Cleveland County Courts Judge Bonner assisted knowingly. Adoption Fraud.

I want to press charges...

I've talked to the FBI many many times about this. They do not care. They are probably hacking me too. That's how they investigate. Hacking phones. I talked to the assistant district attorney in Norman 6 years ago about kidnapping. I think the thought it was a funny situation, because I was a lesbian. It's bash the lesbian mom program.

Ever seen the T.V. show Special victims unit? That is not how law enforcement works at all. That's a tv show. Lots of cover ups and sorry can't help you. No hero's.

This case has intentionally been neglected and dragged out in Oklahoma court for 6 years. My son hasn't seen me in 6 years. This nightmare experience has changed his personality. Even if my son doesn't feel connected to me anymore due to the kidnapping I should still be able to press charges. Don't ask the fbi all they want to know is if I know any Russians or Alaskans. Very pathetic.

I know it's my fault for contacting the police. It's better just to live with the abuse. Contracting police only made my situation worse. I would still have my son today if I had never called the Norman Police for help. I never should have filled out a report at homeland security either after my home invasion. Law enforcement is biased and looks at me as someone they can abuse or ignore with no consequences. I'm sure those crooks in Norman love this. They get away with a kidnapping and cover up.

Im not in the Military. Im a member of W.L.O.T.W. I was invited into the group by Madiline Albright and...

Fed Rate Decision and Hidden Facts. An America to Candle the 1929 American Economic Crisis WAKE UP! : We watched the May and June interest rate decision announced by the Fed, and the questions asked by respected American economic writers to the Fed chairman and the Fed chairman's answers on live TV broadcasts. Respected economic writers have indeed asked Fed Chairman Powell some very original questions. President Powell's answers, on the other hand, reflect the facts, but 'he avoided speaking the real truth in such a political way! This was the President's primary duty. Indeed, the relationship between the respondent and the questions required it. Fed Chairman; He has declared to the whole world that they will take a "hawkish stance" in the fight against inflation. But no economist asked the hidden truth, and neither did the President. He couldn't explain! So what were these facts? What are the facts that are hidden from the American public, such as interest rate hikes and balance sheet reductions in the fight against inflation? If you examine the Fed's balance sheet, you can easily observe that the United States has a debt stock of 30 trillion dollars. What can you say about the contradiction here? The contradiction is: Has the Fed declared that it will reduce inflation by raising interest rates? It did. For example: May interest rate increase 0.50% basis point. 0.75% base point increase in June. Now the question is? If the Fed wants to narrow the balance sheet, won't a 0.50-0.75 basis point increase in interest rates increase the debt stock in the balance sheet? Why don't economists question this? Why are the American people being misinformed? 1- May interest rate hike balance sheet cost: $30 Trillion x 0.50% base point rate hike - $150 billion, 2- June interest rate hike balance sheet cost: 30 trillion dollars x 0.75% base point interest rate increase: 225 billion dollars, Only: May, June Interest Rate Increase Cost ; 375 billion dollars..... Another 0.75% basis points was considered in July. You can calculate that too. My account was made with simple interest. Consider compound interest. To summarize: By the end of 2023, the Fed will look at macroeconomic data and increase interest rates by 3.5% basis points. The cost to the American economy is 1 Trillion Fifty Billion Dollars. This is a " boomerang, do you think inflation will stop ?" Once you start increasing the rate, you can no longer lower it. When other macro data come into play, much worse days are waiting for you, Mr. FED, than the 1929 American Economic Crisis. Solution: Do not increase the interest rate, manage the supply-demand balance well. Stop printing dollars. Do not lie to your people. Return home from your bases on Earth. Your budget is not annual. Do it every 3 months. Teach your rich people that your country will be more beautiful when they "share their income". That's enough. The sense of justice in the American people and the products grown on American soil are enough for you and the world. LEARN TO SHARE, NOT TO WAR. BELIEVE THERE IS NO THING LIKE INFLATION.. Kind...

Specifically to the paper service, and not this specific building, as I've never had an opportunity to visit the building.

The research, writing and overall offering of the Washington Post is excellent. I especially have liked the Daily 202 podcast and other 202 offerings. I liked it so much I decided to subscribe for the local plan. Unfortunately, here is where my live of the Post ended.

Unfortunately, the customer service for subscriptions is awful. I subscribed to the Sunday only post, mainly so I could get the digital subscription for the lower rate. I called about a missing paper, to be told that while the first year was $50, the next would be $120. I decided to cancel at that point, since I didn't even read the physical paper and they didn't offer an option to stop sending it to me. Later that day I got a message they they could give me the same subscription for the next year at $60 per year to stop me from cancelling, but I didn't bite.

Two months later I get a bill for the next year's paper, at $50 for the year. I called to ask why I had a bill, and was told I can ignore it, since I've paid in full for the year, and chose to cancel. Seemed fine. Then the end of my subscription came and went... and I got another bill. This time with an outstanding balance of about $4. Apparently they send random, "special" papers, letting you know in an email that for Sunday subscribers these special editions would be coming. Apparently there's an additional charge for them which isn't mentioned in the message. I asked how I can have this charge dropped, and was told it's not possible. I asked again why I was charged when it wasn't mentioned in the email, and the support person was just silent.

So, while the paper content itself is excellent, I'm done with the Post. I don't feel right listening to the podcast or subscribing to the emails without paying for the content, but will be using other news services to get my...
