M.M.LaFleur D.C. Showroom — Local services in Washington

While I have a few dresses from MM LaFleur that I do enjoy, I can no longer support the company because of their elitist and unapologetic customer service.

The most recent (and culminating) incident involved a return that I made. The return (totaling over $800) was never credited to my credit card. When I contacted MM LaFleur's customer service, their response was to provide me with a digital receipt of the return. After I reasserted that the refund never went through and provided my own digital support that it had not, they informed me there was nothing to be done on their end, and I should take the issue up with my credit card company.

I am very frustrated that MM Lafleur made no attempt to resolve the issue and instead left me on my own to deal with it, offering only a hollow apology. As an extremely busy working woman, I am disappointed that a presumably high-end company selling very expensive products would offer such poor...

Mm Lafleur's business model is very likely the model we'll see more of in the future. They have one, maybe two, retail stores - and shopping is done mainly by appointment with a salesperson doing ALL of the pulling of sample garments. That level of attention is amazing, and it usually means I try on a lot more styles than I originally anticipated. All purchases are basically online orders, whether made in-store or not. Your items are ordered and mailed from one of their warehouses to your address (unless you have a special circumstance, and you want to take an in-store garment home). I like the Mm Lafleur esthetic, and the quality tends to exceed or match competing workwear brands. The pricepoints tend to be higher than similar brands, so I buy judiciously, aiming for fewer pieces I can mix and match, and I also do what I can to take advantage of sales. Overall, I highly...

I've had two amazing experiences here - both guided by the assistant showroom manager, Perry! Perry helped me find beautiful pieces to wear the night before an important interview, and his feedback on everything I tried on was so helpful, and really did make me feel my best. I had so much fun that I brought 11 of my friends in with me later to a private event that MM helped host (with champagne and snacks, too!). Perry and his team of stylists expertly guided all of us through different styles, sizes, colors, etc. to make sure we found things that made us feel great.
