Went to Lisa's Chicken as I have many times prior to this last visit without issue. Well this last visit on Sunday at the drive-thru was absurd. I order a 2 piece dinner and was told to pull forward afterwards. There was 2 cars ahead of me, the car directly in front pulls around the front car and parked out front to wait on his food. I pull up to the 1st window, pay and then wait about 5 minutes for the car in front at the 2nd window to finally get their order and pull away. I pull up to the 2nd window, wait 3 minutes for a employee to FINALLY tell me it will be 30 (yes you read that right) 30 minutes before my order is ready. I ask for a refund and a few minutes later or so another employee takes my debit card to do a refund transaction. Afterwards I drove down to Raising Cane's on Rufe Snow and got food there with no issues or shenanigans. While I was leaving Canes and waiting at a traffic light I looked at the refund receipt from Lisa's and noticed the receipt is from someone else's order. I stop by Lisa's again (same guy who was in front of me when I first went to the drive thru was still waiting for his food out front BTW 🙄) and dispute this and it was like literally talking to some autistic people and they were of no help. They told me I should get the refund in 3 days. I also noticed they were out of chicken on the rack where they keep the cooked pieces and were frantically frying up more. Why wasn't this lack of cooked chicken mentioned when I first placed the order in the drive-thru? Had I know that I would have just cancelled and drove away. Well I had enough of their ineptitude and left pissed off. Avoid this place if you don't like headaches, they need to get their crap together or they need to just not do business anymore. A family member mentioned how they screwed up his order twice after I told him about this. I will not be visiting this place any longer. Hope y'all go out of...
Read moreWhile the chicken and fish and corn is usually average or decent quality like most of these chicken/sea food chains, that's about it. The Mac n cheese is subpar. Like zero salt and flavor with mac that literally desolves in your mouth. No pasta texture. The mash potatoes is the basic instant brand. Gravy......mmmm if you wanna call it that I guess. Now again the main entree is always the best part you'll get here. The corn nuggets are usually cooked to order , sometimes but they themselves are just good at room temp or piping hot. Won't lie, the service at this location was....OK. the drive thru window guy was nice. But we pulled forward to the second window and just sat there while like 5 cars behind us got their food at the first window and drove off. They can clearly see our car from the second window as we could see them from outside in our car. Finally pulled to the front to walk inside and low and behold our food now cooled was just sitting on a counter top as the guy quickly made sure it was our order and handed it to me. At this point we had already drank half our drinks and we live like literally 3 minutes down the road. I will say it's not the brand names fault I don't think, but almost every Lisa's I've been into looks like an old place that was just bought and reused. Mostly cause they don't really clean the floor or front area to look clean. Just the basic I get underpaid so I'm not gonna really do a good job type of effort . So ethically I would never eat inside. But also just seems like their prices have slowly been on the rise while the quality of food has stayed the same. I love chicken so I'll most likely come back because the location is convenient, but let then install another chicken location closer...
Read moreI had been waiting to try them ever since they put up their sign months ago. Finally made it. They close at 11p but at 8p they were already putting chairs up on the tables indicating they didn't want you to eat in. The good- The chicken and shrimp were fresh made instead of sitting under heat lamps. The fried chicken had a good flavor. The fried shrimp was a corn meal coating unlike most places. The bad- The have no fountain in the dining room so no free refills. They charged me $.49 for water without telling me, not free like EVERY other restaurant in the area. The rolls are packaged store rolls instead of fresh made like Chicken Express. And $1.39 for a small soda. Conclusion- There was nobody else in the dining room but a steady stream of cars in the drive thru. Guess if you take it home and don't get drinks you might be happier with them. Note- The pricing between dark/mixed/white was very inconsistent between the number of pieces. All white is much more expensive than other places. I'm ok that I tried it but rather...
