This is a review of the McDonald's at 881 Wolcott St. in Waterbury, CT. Look, compared to the previous location of this store on Lakewood Road, where I witnessed a young man with a weapon (I think it was a gun, under his hooded ski jacket, on a 90+ degree night), hijack the entire order of the SUV before me as the order was being handed to them, THIS new location is a far cry from that scary place. However, it has it's issues.
My last 2 visits were short an item (which I didn't catch until I got home), and today? The girl who took my order, the girl I drove up to and paid, was making fun of what I had ordered to the other employees, saying, "Holy sh**, 8 filet o fish in one order, what a pig!": clearly she was startled to see me sitting there, but instead of apologizing, she said, "Wow if these weren't buy one get one, you would have paid fifty bucks!". They weren't BOGO, they were 2 for $5, but seriously? I'm sick to death of ignorant people and their comments about what a person orders: it's extremely rude and insensitive! I ordered 8 filet o fish and 2 plain mcdoubles, waited at the third window for a while, and the girl who handed me the bags said, "I bet the mcdoubles are for your dog, right?". My dog was with me, but again, although I said yes politely, I wanted to say, "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!".
NO one knows who a person is bringing an order home to, and even if an entire gigantic order is for me and me alone, I'm overweight, embarrassed about it, and should NEVER be brought to tears because some idiot at a fast food joint made me feel worse about myself.
Restaurateurs need to teach professionalism to their employees. This is by no means an isolated incident: it happens at other places, too, on occasion. But it happened today, at McDonald's, and I chose to finally open up about this issue because someone needs to pay attention. Do your job, provide me with whatever I order, and don't judge me. It's not a...
Read moreSunday morning, October 16. Running late myself and my husband for appointment. Told my husband sorry but we may have to grab McDonald's on the way. My husband does not like fast food what so ever! But I had to eat, I'm 7 months pregnant. So we stopped on lakewood rd, waterbury, ct. What we ordered sausage , sub round egg, extra cheese extra bagel sause on a bagel meal with sugar free vanilla ice coffee. Sausage , egg, cheese griddle meal small hot coffee. What we got sausage, folded egg, cheese on biscuit extra bagel sauce( looked like five year old throw it together) very greased out looking. Hash browns not fully cooked, good was cold. Griddle meal cold, hash brown not fully cooked. Best part my husband's hot coffee lid was hardly on and spilled some on his pants. Myself I couldn't eat my order with was totally wrong( which I saved and still have in my garage). I called McDonald's really upset when we are running late, order was wrong , no time to go back or to stop anywhere else. Not happy. I asked and called corprate office that same day. Left message Sunday with info and my name and number for a call back.today is Friday. Guess what no call back at all. Lakewood road, good luck at New location. Hoping your highering manager figures out how to higher people who actually want to work and give great customer service to paying customers. Its not the first time my order was completely messed up. But it's the first time it was so bad I had to call and because I'm sick of it. $12.00 order ,wasted time , gas, aggregation and was even later when my husband had to stop so I ate bring my sugar was low at another place. Owner of Lakewood road, thank you for calling me back. I still have your messed up order in my garage because I was told to keep to bring back. Unhappy customer still waiting to...
Read moreWaited 35 minutes AND COUNTING in a drive thru line for a 10 piece and large fry. This establishment has TWO drive thru lines so I have no clue why I was told “Hey one second” and then she proceeded to take three more orders from the lane to the left of me after previously taking a order from that same lane. I pulled up there was TWO cars in line one in each line and I’m just receiving my food typing this and it is cold as can be. After waiting over 35 minutes in line this is good ole McDonald’s on Wolcott ST. Clearly there’s a problem in management and the owner needs to step in because this is CONSISTENTTTT for this location anytime after 10pm expect to wait atleast 15 minutes and to be served luke warm food. What makes matters worst is once you’re in the drive thru line you’re stuck so I couldn’t even pull off after waiting at the intercom 20 minutes. Eating at this location any other time than the morning or afternoon will be a HECK NO for me moving forward. I am now driving 5 minutes down the road to McDonald’s on Union Street, where they atleast have CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. I’m greeted at the intercom before asking what can they get for me, they apologize for the wait even if I’m sitting there 10 minutes, and EVEN IF THERE IS A WAIT THEY WOULD NOT DARE SERVE ME COLD FOOD THAT HAS BEEN SITTING SINCE I GOT IN LINE. Hopefully a stray in need of a meal comes across that meal that was left in your plaza then again perhaps not as my pets wouldn’t even...
