Not ready for customers. Recommended for the fajitas and decided to give it a second try (first visit was not positive). parking is plentiful. Disappointed. Our party of 7 arrived at 4:50 PM, waited to be seated and were approached by a manager(?) who told us that we could sit anywhere. We found a spot away from most of the blaring speakers and, with our open seating choice, one table did not provide adequate room for comfortable eating (fajita expectation was of many plates) so did the Guys / Girls at separate adjoining table. All service was painfully SLOW! Appeared there was only one waitress for this large establishment. The open seating allowed far separation of diners, and extended distances to travel for the one server. Drinks (one beer, one martini) and water order took over 17 minutes to arrive and the martini requested was not provided as requested. Drink refills were necessary before orders were taken. I ordered the recommended fajitas and was sorely disappointed. One small bowl of rice, covered tortilla container and a skillet that was blackened to the extent you could not discern what items were present (onions, peppers, chicken all appeared burned, but were actually just discolored a dark brown). The taste was average (I did not send it back, I was hungry from the long wait) but the serving size was small, no lettuce, no tabasco, no cheese, no sour cream. The tortillas were stuck together and I had to scrape off the paper they were wrapped in. For the price ($18.00) it was not close to the value and quality that had been described by a previous patron. My Bride ordered the shrimp salad and, again, the value, presentation and quality were far below what was expected. The portion was very small and price, again was high. Waitress had to be "flagged" to obtain drink refills and they were not provided in a timely manner. Recognizing that hiring has been a challenge, there appeared to be no management involved in deciding closing would have been a better choice rather than disappointing all who entered. We had to search out management (who was bussing tables) to get our bills and didn't get out of the place until after 7:15 PM. Other patrons were similarly disgruntled with the lack of service. Noise levels were also high (many tv's and a projection screen) which made conversation difficult. There is much competition in our area, do not expect this...
Read moreMy daughters and I were excited to find an AUCE Crab dinner on a Wednesday night. We drove an hour and walked into an empty restaurant at 4:30 pm. My daughter had researched the price of the dinner and found in a review that it was $35.00....way too steep but we tried it. BIG MISTAKE. We were served a bland " crab vegetable " soup. We were then served a small bowl of overcooked, over-seasoned cubed potatoes with a 1/2 piece of undercooked, strange tasting corn on the cob sitting in the middle of the potatoes. The first set of crab legs came with it and most of the legs did not have meat in them. The " clarified butter" to dip the crab in did not have that uniquely sweet buttery taste you would find at a quality restaurant but we dipped anyway. We had a couple of clusters of crab, did not bother eating the corn or potatoes and my daughter jumped up and said "I have to go to the bathroom!" When she got back she said she felt sick, had just had diarrhea and had a back ache and headache which she gets when she eats any nitrates, additives or color dyes. We left soon thereafter and within a 1/2 hour of leaving my second daughter and myself had to make an emergency stop due to upset stomach and diarrhea. The KICKER though, aside from the diarrhea was that when I received the bill I just about fell over. The dinner was $46.99 per person, along with 3 cokes and an appetizer of mussels which left a LOT to be desired and floating in the same yellow "butter" dip with one large raw garlic clove. This along with the required 18% gratuity brought the bill total to !!!! $ 200.!!!! I called early the next day to speak with the manager or owner and was told someone would call me later in the day. I'm still...
Read moreWORST BIRTHDAY EXPERIENCE EVER . I came here with a group of friends for my 23rd birthday, there was nobody there but the waitresses . My friends and I ordered food and drinks and let the restaurant and staff know we were stepping outside to smoke for a second. We went outside for 5 minutes and someone followed us out telling us they wanted to make sure we didnt leave and took a picture of our license plate. The only reason we were smoking in the car was because it was still cold outside at that time. We came back in and spoke to management again about the making it very clear it was My birthday i wasnt planning on leaving and asked if they would start our food . They told us they would have to check each and every one of our ids again which we all provided, then they asked to hold a card which we also complied with . We all stepped back outside for 20-30 mins. We came back in sat down and they still not had started our food, then asked for a third time to see our ids . I stated at that point i wanted to speak to a manager who informed me they would not be serving or servicing us . We asked why they told us it was because we refused to show our ids for a third time. We proceeded to remind them that they had already checked everyones id and that they have our credit card with a name on it . They gave us the card back and a bill for the drinks we ordered . The server was very nice and respectful so we paid for our drinks and gave her a $50 tip in cash . The restaurant all together was very racist, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional and a...
