Called ahead for pick up and went through drive through. Was told to pull up at the menu when I notified them I had a pick up order. There were two cars in front of me. I waited for both cars to get their food cooked, around ten minutes. When I arrived at the window there was no clarification of what was ordered. I was handed a stapled closed bag and told a total. I opened the bag after pulling forward to not inconvenience the people in line behind me and found I was given the wrong order. I immediately pulled back in line and told the representative at the drive through menu I had the incorrect order. She explained that she was already aware and to pull forward. Another two cars in front of me and another ten minute wait. When I arrived at the window I received an apology and that I owed twenty dollars. At this point I was unsure if I was even getting a refund for the order I had already paid for. A more competent employee returned and explained that I was only being charged the difference. I understand this is not a fast food service and I'm sure the employees there are also aware. I have noticed other drive thru services having cars pull forward and park to accommodate orders that are already complete behind them in line. They made me wait in line twice, a total of twenty minutes when my order was complete before I even entered the...
Read moreThought I had walked it a Steak & Shake. The layout is nearly identical. That's fine, I like them, too. Only two people in, so far, on a post-Thanksgiving Monday @ 11 am. The server/hostess greeted me immediately but has a very "bored senseless" demeanor about her. That seemed to lift after I and another party came in. Just her & the cook working at the moment. A question: in this day & age, why do so many female servers/hosts call their male customers honey, dear, sweetie? If a male did that we would jump on him, hard, for being sexist & condescending. Contrary to my normal Coney Island visits, I ordered breakfast, specifically a spinach & feta omelet. There was a definite off taste to both the omelet & the toast (of all things). Hash browns were fine & the Frank's Red Hot helped with the omelet. It wasn't enough to send back and I couldn't ID it but it was definitely there. (Kind of tastes like a new bandage smells, plastic-y). One more oddity: they spell gyros "Yeros" here. Phonetically accurate but looks weird. It's...
Read moreHad business in Pontiac. I took daughter #1 for a late lunch. I asked if the burger was frozen or fresh. To my suprise it was fresh. I refuse to eat prefabricated meat patties. Loved Ruby. She had time to talk with us because we were the only ones there. She left a good impression on the restaurant. Came back hours later with daughter #2 who ordered a cob salad. I couldn't believe all the generous toppings. She loved it and took some home. We had conversation with Ruby again because we were the only ones. She went out of her way to please us. I ended up giving her a 16 dollar tip because she was a pleasure to be around. Let her know Debbie and her 2 daughters liked her. I...
