This is the third visit in a row with very sub-par service. The food is typically good, but the service is very lacking. One visit, my father ordered a Southern Comfort Manhattan, the bartender ran out of Southern Comfort and used a very different liquor and didn’t say anything until asked. Another visit with 6 people. Person 1 ordered lobster and Fillet mignon Person 2 ordered Lobster surf and turf. While they are a similar combination, the kitchen sent out two surf and turfs. A sirloin steak covered in lobster sauce is much different than a Fillet Mignon. And the price was different as well. The third visit was the worst, again 6 visitors. Alcoholic drinks took about 10 minutes longer to come out than they should have. The server kept promising bread, but then saying how other parties took it. One dinner of shrimp tacos was ordered. At least 3 of the 6 people heard ‘Shrimp’ specifically but the server heard ‘Fish’ tacos, and proceeded to argue with the whole table that is what was ordered rather than apologizing and fixing it. But she didn’t have a problem ‘Fixing’ the bill to make it the dollar more for shrimp rather than fish. Then the bill, where we split it 5 people on one, 1 person on the other bill. She took the cards wrapped in the correct receipts, but managed to charge the single person with the $125 dollar 6 person bill, then take the $25 dollar gift card off the single person’s bill and charge the 5 people with a whopping 7 dollars. She then had the nerve to argue that she indeed charged us correctly before she even looked at the returned receipts. Why was more arguing needed? On top of a second $25 dollar gift card she said ‘didn’t work’ but shows a balance of $25 both online and when calling the help number. I try to tip nicely, normally 20%-25%, this time I went to 18% which was I think still generous. The 15, 18, and 20% amounts are pre-printed on the receipt. My total with tip should have been 122.54 charged to my card+$25 gift card I used. The restaurant has now charged me $7.09 and then removed that for the first mess up, then $128.29 for my total bill…. I guess they thought they earned about 22.5%... NOT. I will not return to this store. I will be calling and getting a refund for the additional amount. The only reason this isn't 1 star, is that the food is good, but service is just as important.
This was also on a Tuesday at 5:30pm It wasn't...
Read moreMy family dined in for dinner tonight with a server named Brandon. It was my brother's gf's 30th birthday, and unfortunately, my husband and I did not attend due to me being very ill. Although I couldn't attend, I ordered a crab alfredo through family members to be dropped off to me at my house. I hadn't really eaten anything all day, so the level of excitement was pretty high.. unfortunately, the quality of the pasta didn't meet my expectations. The noodles and alfredo were delicious, but the crab was extremely overcooked. It's almost like someone left it in the microwave for far too long. I don't expect the crab to be fresh cracked crab but at least edible to your liking. This is my normal go-to dish and I've never had a problem before now so I was so disappointed. I actually contemplated even calling and mentioning anything, but then I decided, "Why not?" It's a $24+ pasta that I didn't even eat. The manager was extremely kind on the phone while my husband explained the problem. She was accommodating all the way to the point she said, "Bring it back up, and I'll refund you or make you a new one." I've been super sick, and my husband just got off almost a 15-hour day, so neither of us was going to drive all the way out to pontiac. She said we could even bring it back up tomorrow. I thought it was no big deal, and we ended the conversation. After thinking about it, I was kinda shocked that that was the solution to our problem. Almost as if they did not want to believe my food was of poor quality. As being in the restaurant business for 20+ years It is always better to solve the problem right then. You're supposed to meet the guests' expectations, and mine wasn't met. It's not a big deal. It's going to happen from time to time, but at least make it right. We realized after our phone call that the next time we would be in that area would be Monday. So I'm supposed to hold onto this pasta until then so I can get it remade? I've taken pictures of my meal, but unfortunately, it's kind of hard to judge the quality of the protein based on this picture due to me pouring extra alfredo all over it. Please note this was absolutely none of Brandon's fault. He provided great service to my party of 5 family that dined in. I'm just curious though, is this the standard for customer service at...
Read moreI'm not going to be the ANGRIEST person in this review section even though I should be but I won't. First & foremost I'm a restaurant worker myself line cook working anywhere 40-60 hours a week, I know what's it like, the ups n downs, the customers who try to get free food & the workers who just don't care, but no I care so my ticket times are good, food is good, my girlfriend serves extraordinarily well in this world we live in today, does her best even to the nastiest of customers rude & blank but expect the best of the best when they don't give it back what is that? This food was pretty good ordering the seaside shrimp trio but ended up only being a Duo due to my Alfredo shrimp pasta missing, already had long wait time of 30 whole minutes! That's a long time in restaurant time we get tickets out 10-20 minutes even well done Ribeyes like how?! Cause we good like that. Folks here gave me a problem manager in specific said they put the pasta in the bag n the pasta ain't in the restaurant so the customer must be lying, me in this case. Why? You see all this awareness I'm expressing & to try to go low grade human call just to get a small refund for the pasta like I didn't even ask for a full refund, cook n bartender said they put it in the bag so if this ever gets resolved correctly hopefully they see how very wrong they were to judge me the way they did. DONT GO HERE UNLESS U WANT TO BE STARRED AT & 30 minute ticket times for something that takes under 10 minutes to prepare fully! Wasn't even busy the bartender even said I was the only ticket in the window, c'mon I have 15 tickets on an average weekend night getting em out 9 minutes pastas, steak bites, crab cakes, stuff mush, shrimp pastas. Average time for those is around 10 minutes! Now me & everyone who is aware enough to stay away from this kind of business negativity will not step foot in this Red Lobster, time will show I should of just gotten my small refund for something they messed up on. Only saying what...
