Scroll to bottom for summary: My girlfriend and I ofter go to the other BK on Ansborough, but since we live pretty close to this one we decided to give it a try. The first problem we ran into was the customer service. When we recieved our food, I noticed that they didn't include the sauces we asked for. Not a big deal, I'm not difficult to please. I went back to ask for it, however, there was no longer anyone at the counter. I looked around to see if anyone would help. Plenty of people made eye contact with me, but none of them actually came to help, or even bothered to tell someone else that I needed help. Finally I saw someone come to the counter, but even after saying "excuse me" multiple times, I was ignored. The second problem was the food. We usually get whoppers, but I made the mistake of trying something new. I ordered 2 crispy chicken sandwiches, the girlfriend ordered 2 whoppers, and we decided to split a large fry, a large onion ring, and a 10 pc chicken nugget. The girlfriend's whoppers were fine, but the crispy chicken and the onion rings (which I'm assuming were prepared in the sams fryer) had a strange taste. At first I was able to ignore it, but half-way through the burger it started to overpower the taste of everything else. As expected in a 9pm fast food trip, the lettuce was gross. My single slice of tomato was about twice the size of quarter and more green and white than red. The third problem I ran into was what followed the eating. We had planned to eat and hang out, but not even half-way through the meal, my stomach became upset and I had to run into the restroom. The restroom was absolutely nasty, and I had to clean it myself before being able to use it. Then during, an employee came inside to mop, jiggled the stall handle, then before I could say anything proceeded to check whether the stall was empty by jumping and pulling himself up over the door. After all that, when I returned to my gf, I was still forced to rush back to the bathroom. We ended up coming home where I am still making regular trips to the restroom the day after. Whatever they fed me has made me sick.
Summary: Customer service left much to desire, food was terrible and made me sick, and an employee peeked over my restroom stall. Will not be returning. I probably even have grounds for legal action, but I'm not that kind of person. I would recommend avoiding this place like the plague. Read moreI have had nothing but issues with every single burger king in the BlackHawk area. The first issue was when I went to the Evamsdale Burger King and I received a whopper that was not even cooked. When I called corporate they basically told me there is nothing they can do because that store runs independently. So I chose a different Burger King to go too when my kids specifically asked for it. That second time one of my kids didnt get their fries or drink. No big deal I just gave her my fries and a drink out of the fridge. We decided to go to a different Burger King in Waterloo yesterday and when I checked the bag, I was missing my fries, one of the kids fries, both the kids drinks were substituted to water because "they ran out of sprite" but didnt say anything until I called them back, and on top of it they charged me for 3 sauces and I didnt get a single one. When I called the store to see what the issue was, I was then told I needed to drive all the way back to get a refund. So I did just that and when I got there the manager told me he cant do anything about it and I need to call corporate. So I did and they offered me a $10 coupon on my next order. Needless to say I told them no i do not want their coupon nor do I plan on ever eating at Burger King again. I told them I would be making this review if nothing was done just so others can be warned that this place will take your money and not give you even close to what you ordered, then if you complain about it they start laughing about it like this happens all the time. Very very dissatisfied with how I've been treated as a paying customer on top of not getting my food half the time or getting something completely raw, just to be told $10 off...
Read moreI mean, it's Burger King, I don't have super high hopes...but even the low expectation has been missed. Employees are rude more than they are nice and food is almost always wrong in some way, cold, or tastes stale and old.
My last time in the drive through, I pulled up and the woman taking my order sighed into the microphone and said, "I'm not taking your order". I said I'm sorry what? I was genuinely confused because it was probably 2pm and only 1 other car in the line. She repeated it and then a minute or two later said "you drove over our cone, I'm not taking your order until you back up and go to the other line". I asked for clarification because there was no cone in the drive through? I even had my front and rear car cameras on and saw no cone anywhere or any sign saying that ordering window was closed.
She said "you heard me. I'm not taking your order. Back up and go in the other line". To my mistake i listened and did just that, backed up, and went to the other line. She was then very rude taking my order. I pulled up to the window and asked what cone she meant because there was no cone I drove over? She then said, "yeah whatever you are right. We didn't put it up today I guess", handed me my food and then said "bye". I was not rude at all and was so confused the entire time. Then no apology or anything. And of course 2 burgers were wrong 🤣 I truly don't know why I keep thinking it'll get better one day at this location. Lol. Every visit is progressively worse.
