This place is a hidden gem, and is definitely worth your business.
I visited this wonderful little taqueria late one evening, needing a quick and warm dinner. I walked in about 20 minutes before closing and was greeted warmly.
I ended up ordering a simple bean and cheese burrito, and noticed they had agua fresca options available, but asked if they were homemade. The evening I visited, they had horchata, jamaica, tamarindo and pina frescas, and all looked amazing. I ended up ordering the horchata and was so impressed at how delicious it was.
The Bean and Cheese burrito was a perfect size. The tortilla was gently grilled, but still pliable, the beans were a perfect mix of mashed & whole pintos, beautifully seasoned and the cheese was enough to have perfect sections of melted and unmelted cheese (the literal PERFECT balance in this burrito).
I opted to try both their red and green salsa, and both were absolutely fantastic. Please note, both their salsa's are hot, but both were rich in flavor and depth, not JUST spicy. The green salsa was my favorite, but it is worthwhile getting both.
One typically minor piece, is that they give you a free little bag of their chips with any order over a certain amount - maybe $6.50? SERIOUSLY. GET THE CHIPS. They are HOMEMADE and seasoned MAGICALLY. THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY WORTH getting - unlike most other Mexican spots (certainly in the area...).
Although I don't live in this area, I 1000% would come here again to try more of their menu. With all the local Mexican options in the area, this is a one-off that deserves your business that will treat you like family when...
Read moreI came in today after my haircut what cut my attention was the quesadilla I ordered one and I saw that they had a waffle fries when I got my order it looks delicious the quesadilla was great I had a good flavor they had their own two sauces and it was not oily and soggy so that was a plus for me. The waffle fries were awesome every bite I would get a crunch on every bite not everyone makes them like that. The restaurant was nice and clean and as soon as a guest would leave the table the girl in the register would go and clean it up. Jeffrey was the cook that was there I told him that his food was awesome. I will totally recommend...
