I planned to take my wife and daughter out for dinner. My daughter’s burger came out raw and had to be sent back. My luau bowl came out with rotten avocado on the rice and the teriyaki chicken was cold and not fresh. My wife ordered the beet and arugula salad that was to have goat cheese and beets in the salad. There was next to no beets - which were canned beets not freshly cut. There was absolutely no goat cheese and the arugula in the salad was burnt and left a horrible aftertaste. We also ordered two tortilla soup bowls. They were never brought out until after the meals came and we had to inform the waitress that it was never brought out. The waitress was very kind and went to get the two bowls of tortilla soup and she said that she wouldn’t charge us for them.
The young manager did bring out a new cooked hamburger but the fries were extremely over-salted and the pickles which were on the side of the initial burger plate were missing and never included on the second burger plate. (Something that the young manager should have noticed before bringing out the second hamburger plate) My daughter ended up not eating the fries due to the over salting issue. We were only initially comped the two soups. No offer by the young manager to comp the meals which all three orders had major preparation issues/problems. So when we got home we contacted the restaurant to speak to the restaurant manager. Well the phone rang over 15 times before being answered. The manager came to the phone and spoke to my wife. The manager apologized and was only at first going to take half off the bill for all the mishaps -even though every meal had something that was majorly messed up by the kitchen staff. The manager said that they were going to have a meeting on Friday to go over all the mishaps that they had through the past week. So just by that statement we obviously were not the only customers who had food served that had issues. After my wife stated a second time to the manager that this was a serious problem of serving raw hamburger meat and rotten avocados on the luau bowl and serving a beet salad with no beets or goat cheese and burnt arugula, the manager offered to comp the meals. However, the manager did not comp the three beverages that totaled $9.00. We told the manager to leave the tip for the waitress on the bill because she did her job very well and this wasn’t her fault. So we ended up paying a total of $26.95 for the meals. ($16.95 given for tip) The manager should have comped the whole ticket and just charged the tip like we requested. Something that those owning the restaurant should train the young people managing what to do when the kitchen fails on all the meals ordered for a table. The live music was great but too loud. The waitress had to strain to hear our food order. Through the time at the rLindy’s Landing our conversations were very strained due to the noise level. That dining room has no sound absorption panels on the walls so everything is amplified.
The reply below by the owner is riddled with false information. The burger ordered was to be medium well and it came out raw- pink and soft. The beet salad had no beets or goat cheese in it and the brussel sprouts were burnt. The avocado on the luau bowl was rotten. When the young manager came we were asked if the second burger was ok and cut into it. It was cooked correctly but the fries were over-salted. The waitress asked if we wanted another set of fries but by this time we weren’t going to put our trust that the fries would be safe to eat when brought back. Just by this owner’s reply you can hear the defensive posture and no sincere apology. We also did not repeatedly say that the meal was ok. We actually said it was not good for what happened to all three meals and that’s why we called immediately once we got home. Any restaurant serving raw meat and rotten avocados, having salads come out without the proper ingredients and not serving the soup when ordered should do everything possible to correct & not express...
Read moreThe first time we visit Lindy's Landing. I was shockingly impressed with their amazing view, atmosphere was on point and the Mai tai's were PERFECT! I told my boyfriend that we needed to come back again for dinner. We decided to bring my boyfriend's mom for a birthday lunch on a Saturday, we made reservations and everything was running smoothly. Until we got there, one of the servers had a very cheerful and energetic personality and was ready to come to our table right away. It seemed like there was a misunderstanding as to who was going to serve us, because another girl came back 10 minutes later to get our drinks order. The food was great, Mai tais were just like the first time... Fantastic! And, their Atmosphere was set just right, however they need to invest in their servers to get some kind of training because the service was not the best.
Mojitos were served with rotten mint leaves and old lime wedges. The mint leaves were black and the lime wedge was just old with a yellowish trim and it literally look like it had been sitting on the back of their fridge for a month. The people that ordered them were very disappointed and dug them out with their straw. I was so embarrassed because I had said that their drinks were amazing... We also had to ask for basically everything, napkins, utensils, drinks... everything...
It was a party of 10 people, and we ordered 6 sides in total to divide them between the table. By the time our appetizers arrived, we had run out of drinks, and we ordered a few extra drinks. Then maybe like 2 minutes later after the appetizers arrived, we got all of our main course, so basically we had almost 20 dishes of food on our table. Timing between apps and entrees was very disappointing. We left enough time between ordering the apps and Entrees so that we did not get them at the same time.
At this time, we were all eating and the drinks that we had ordered when the apps arrived never came, then another server came to check on us and we told her that we were waiting for our drinks and that other people needed more, so we added more drinks. She came back to our table to ask us how many more drinks we needed 4 times, and we had to keep repeating ourselves. We waited and waited, after everyone was done with the meal, I decided to go to the bar and ask for our drinks and I got a very inattentive response" they'll be out soon". At this point, we had already finished our food and apps with ZERO DRINKS. Nothing was offered to us, not even water. Extremely disappointing after speaking so highly about this place, especially when you are spending about 450$ on food and beverages, you expect a somewhat good service, in which this occasion, it was not received.
I would love to give them another try, because I really like the atmosphere and their Beach club Mai Tai's are fantastic. Food is amazing, but maybe if you decide to give them a try go with...
Read moreWent to Lyndys during the street dance festival with a group of about 15 people. We Had some cocktails and order food. We ordered two orders of chicken tenders, two orders of French fries, shrimp and cheese curds. When the food came one of the people in our party bit into their chicken tenders and it was literally raw in the middle. Then another member of our party bit into their tenders a separate order and they were raw as well. Once someone came over to the table they took back both orders and said that would talk to the cook. 10 mins later they came back with 4 tenders to replace the two orders. The women bring them back was obviously embarrassed on the establishment behalf. She said that she would talk to the manager for us. About 30 minutes later while waiting for the manager to come and talk to us like any other establishment would have had done right away we had to personally go to the bar and ask some one to get the manager for us to talk about the discrepancy with the chicken tenders. I kindly explained to the manager once she came to the table that under cooked chicken will kill someone or make them very sick and Obviously we were not going to pay for them because they were raw and because they only replaced half the order. she did not know what to say or do it was extremely awkward for her and she thought that buying us a round of drinks would make up for the under cooked chicken tenders and them not being all the way replaced. Bottom line is they refunded most of our tab with the exception of all the drink and the french fries for some reason? I understand the drinks but I don’t get why they decided to charge us for fries.... I hope that they check the temperature of the fryers or they check the level of competency of their cooks. I hope that no one gets sick from this event and I hope this prevents somebody from ordering those chicken...
