Was there 90 minutes ago. Sat at the bar. Bartenders (2 women) kept wizzing by avoiding eye contact. 10 minutes later asked barback to get us 2 cokes and a menu. We waited an additional 15 minutes as the bartenders kept shuffling by, avoiding eye contact-or with their backs to us- as they served multiple other ppl. My husband got the attention of one and shr looked annoyed. He said "can you take our order please" she responded "it'll be a few minutes I'm busy with this" she was holding her phone. I looked at my husband, got off the stool and said we're leaving, he agreed. We walked out. I live 3 blocks from this place and I will never again. We walked down the block to Walter's sat, ordered, served and ate in 40 minutes and it was much more busy than drunken cobra. Horrible service and unfriendly bartenders is what makes this place a NO GO!! RUDE!
My respone to the owner. Unfortunately you really didn't watch that video, i was not rude. I didn't speak to your bartenders. We were not greeted we had to ask where we could sit, we approached her and she rudley said the tables were reserved then quickly grabbed up her tip from the previous customer and walked away. Btw, waiting for 12 minutes at a bar for a waitress to curtly say "it'll be a bit, im busy with this" as shes literally on her phone is rude you didn't watch the tape. I find it amazing, as a business owner myself, that you don't notice the one trend in your bad reviews...your service. There were a few on here, which showed me I'm not the only one. I've been to your place a few times before, the service is truly hit or miss. The food is always over average. This is not the first time we've had under average service by your staff, particularly your female staff. At this point, my review status speaks for itself. Over 50 reviews and you were only the third negative. Don't try to make your potential patrons think I'm a "hangry" person, I invite them to read all my reviews and judge for themselves. I give credit where credit is due more often than not. I will say your response to my review fits the vibe your bar gives at times and, that is "rude". Which makes the service that we've recieved not surprising. Your take on it? Even less surprising. Have a good day sir,...
Read moreThis is kind of a roundabout review that is likely dissimilar from any other this establishment has, but a few months ago, a person very important to me called me for help and told me they were at the Drunken Cobra.
The particulars aren’t especially important, but when I got there, I found that between the time I was called and my arrival roughly 30 minutes later, the (I believe) owners, a man and a woman whose names I regrettably cannot recall, had stopped what they were doing to ensure the safety of the person whom I came to get, as they were not in any condition to care for themselves. They had rightfully taken their keys, kept them near the back of the bar away from other patrons, and ensured they were hydrated, conscious, and decent. When the time came for us to leave, the woman helped me get this person into the car.
This is all a very verbose way of saying that the proprietors of the Drunken Cobra went so far beyond their job description to ensure the safety of a patron when simply calling the police would have been perfectly reasonable. I’ve meant to leave this review since that same night, I’ve meant to come thank them in person since that same night, but life gets in the way.
I truly owe the owners of this establishment a debt of gratitude, and I will recommend them to any and everyone I can. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for interrupting your night to deal with this person. I truly hope your kindness, patience, and generosity are repaid a thousand times over, because you deserve it.
If the bar service, food, and atmosphere are even 1% as commendable as the owners themselves, this is a bar you should go to.
This has been my Ted Talk, and if I ever relapse, I’ll stop by for a Jameson.
My best to...
Read moreWe live in the area and it was our first time there. The location is convenient. The food was tasty, especially the chicken sandwiches, cheese curds, waffles - (honey butter), and the corn-ribs. However, the service could use some polishing. The host appeared to be unexperienced with greeting customers. "We" had to help him seat us (no comm). Our table ordered an appetizer and the female floor mgr. (?) brought it out but didn't provide plates. We waited for some time for the plates and the dish was getting cold. I had to walk over to her (floor mgr.) bec our waitress was with someone else. I asked for small plates and straws. Since we needed the plates to eat our appetizers. She replied in a irritated tone, cut me off and walked away. In addition, as I was looking in my purse to pay the bill, a homeless man tapped me on my shoulder asking for money. This totally shocked me, and made me feel uncomfortable. He walked around the resturant for a bit of time asking customers for money. I don't think this was taken seriously, and the host nor the staff apologized for that. Eventually, he was asked to leave but this was after he had already walked up to people while they were eating. Maybe this was a one time situation. BUT!! One good thing from our visit, was the food. I'm thinking maybe today was an off-type of day. I would still recommend trying this restaurant because the...
