I love this store. The regular staff is usually super kind and helpful, not the lady today, who I thinknis actually some sort of manager or lead. I was shouted at from the opposite end of an aisle because I started putting things in the trash box she had planned on using. I was told I could use any of the other boxes on the floor around it but she wanted that one. As if being shouted at for buying more than I planned wasn't cool enough, while checking out the cashiers tried asking her for help and once they were finally able to flag her down she explained she didn't answer their calls for help because she was listening to her music, she then laughed at them and walked away laughing. I felt horrible for the two wonderful ladies trying to help the customers. It was horribly un comfortable. Just a quick update. The next time I saw the same woman berate and make fun of a little old Hispanic man that was asking for help understanding pricing, he started to walk away but stopped to ask why she was being so mean and she threatened to call the police. I've never seen some one treat a confused elderly...
Read moreThis morning, I had my very first negative experience with the Waxahachie Aldi. I brought my items to the checkout where a guy named Beck (red hair and glasses) was running the register. This guy really needs to work on his bedside manner, because he's very rude! I brought my own grocery bag and pulled my cart around to where he could start handing me my groceries. He just started carelessly dumping my products into the basket. I said "Wait a second!". He very acridly replied "We don't bag your groceries for you!". I told him "Well give me a second and I'LL do it!". I told him "You really need to take it down a notch!". He replied "I'm in a hurry!". I said "Really?! I'm terribly sorry if I'm an inconvenience to you!". You should NEVER be "too busy" to show a little customer courtesy! He tried to act apologetic..in a sarcastic manner. Anyway, this guy seriously needs to be addressed before he drives away business. I can only imagine how rude he is with customers who are too afraid to get up...
Read moreThis is an update, my previous review gave them 4 stars. This Waxahachie location of Aldi's is the pits. It seems every visit to this particular store leaves me shaking my head in frustration. Last night the cashier overcharged me by ringing up too many. So when I bought 2 of a product she rang up 3. And courtesy, there was none. I should have checked my receipt before leaving but after the rude way my receipt was almost thrown at me, I wanted to get away from her ASAP. Prior visits to this location were about the same. Request for assistance to someone stocking the meat department was met with an eye roll that I'd expect from a teenager. The same male employee was my cashier and I received the same attitude when I was handed my receipt, he couldn't be bothered with customer service or requests.
Additionally the produce looked pretty sad.
Thankfully there are other Aldi's closer to home that care about customer service, courtesy and...
