The Burger Spot — Restaurant in Waxahachie

"The burger spot" is the kind of place that makes you wonder 'why is it always empty'... Is it the funky smell you get as soon as you walk in? Is it the outdated bathrooms? Well, today we found out why this place is always pretty empty.

We placed our order, and went to sit down to wait for it... Our order consisted of 8 lemon pepper wings and one side of fries, 2 subs one with onion rings and one with chips and 4 drinks.

When the food was delivered by someone who stated to be the 'owner' (Nidia) she walked away from our table quite fast (I was at the register waiting on a refill)

As I was walking towards the table, I noticed My husband walked up to her and told her we were missing 1 wing. The 'owner' quickly stated that my daughter had eaten the wing, that "she saw her" (my daughter had not even touched the plate, In fact... She was playing a game)

The lady got so upset and gave an attitude to my husband.

Eventually a little plate with 2 wings came out.

I am HIGHLY STRICT on Teaching My Kids to BE AWARE where WE Leave Our Money.

So today was a GREAt Example of where NOT to leave our Money.

The "owners" lack of ethics/Professionalism towards us, over her forgetting to count the wings (we just wanted what we originally paid for... No more/no less/ no freebies and NO ATTITUDE) Showed me what that place is pretty empty.

It is not the fact they run the place in such an inconvenient manner (you have to stand up and get refills for drinks)

It is not the funky/musty smell inside the place.

It is Not the super outdated bathrooms...

It is HER poor attitude that makes visits like ours... Such an UNPLEASANT experience!!!

It is sad, for this place... Cause every time we went, it was cause my kids wanted to eat wings there....now my kids know this place has become A " NEVER AGAIN The Burger Spot"

I refuse to leave our money, at places where we get attitudes and such poor treatment by the "owner" or anyone for that matter.

The extra wings ended in the trash (I NEVER allow my kids/Family to eat food that has been cooked by people who display such anger/poor behaviour)

Never again The Burger Spot.... ...

The atmosphere reminds me of Chapps Burgers in Arlington that I frequented many years ago. The server said cheeseburgers were quarter pound, so I added a patty. I'm not sure I needed to since it was very filling, and with the fries and drink, the price went over $20. The cheeseburger was good, not as good as Chapps. The thick cut fries were wimpy, spiced fine, though a bit salty. BBQ sauce was very good. Drink had a lot of ice and needed a refill before finishing the meal, but refills were free, so it was not a biggie. Atmosphere was music too loud and had to fight a fly for my burger. Will try the Burger Spot again another day to try things on a pretty...

Was craving a burger and went to this place cause it had decent reviews. The burger was okay, not bad, not good. They dont have combos. Everything is a la carte. I asked for a strawberry lemonade it was homemade so and there was an uncharge for that and when I asked for no ice, I was told they have to give me ice so I don't get so much of the drink. I still didn't want ice, so I told her not to fill it up all the way if theydidn'tt want to give me "more" of the drink. Too expensive for what they're serving. Strawberry Lemonade was good, though.
