I’m leaving my original review to show that they actually listen and fix issues. They got rid of the terrible server and have replaced him with better servers. The new servers refill drinks quickly and clear tables quickly as well. We always like the food and during the week the prices are fair. Easily one of the best buffets around.
I come here often for lunch with the rest of my work crew (5 people). (1-2 a week). Each time we have an issue with a waiter. He has his hair slicked back like an old 80s movie villain and is skinny. (You’ll recognize him if he’s scowling) He only comes by the table once and that’s to drop off the check. He doesn’t clear off the plates from the table. He doesn’t refill drinks. He just stands at his little station and stares. When we ask for a refill he says his famous words “No tip No drink”. First of all the drinks are supposed to be free refills. Second even if they weren’t free they could just charge us more money But the fact that he has the audacity to say “No tip No drink” shows a level of disrespect and incompetence that I can’t even begin to understand. First of all we do leave a tip maybe not $100 dollars like he would want, but between the five of us even a couple of dollars adds up. Most of us pay with card and we always write in a tip. If the restaurant doesn’t give him those tips it’s on them and I’m pretty sure that’s illegal. Second of all, even if we didn’t leave a tip by simply saying “No tip No drink” he without a doubt makes sure he won’t get anything. Third he has an ugly look on his face the whole time. If you hate your job then quit. Why stand there and stare miserably at the customers. A little customer service would go a long way and make him more tips The worst part is that we’ve brought it to the management attention once before and we figured that was the end of that. However he still continues his rude, unprofessional attitude. If this keeps up the restaurant will lose more money that just his tips. By having a toxic waiter with poor customer service you make customers second guess their dining choice and they will go elsewhere with...
Read moreI moved from California to waxahachie not to long ago and wanted to try the buffet, especially that I love seafood and I enjoy eating different things rather than one plate. But I have to say this is one of the best buffet I’ve been to, and I have traveled a lot. These are my pointers for this place: Food is of high quality, for a person with a sensitive stomach I haven’t had any issues afterwards. Sea food is surprisingly fresh. The steamed crawfish is better than the one I used to get in California which I don’t need to say is next to the ocean. The amount of different foods you can get for 12$ is amazing; I mean the oysters rockefeller here are of high quality with a very refreshing taste and no fishy flavor. I would probably pay 15$ in Dana point California for 6 of them and here I can have as many as I want. The Mongolian food is alright I wouldn’t go here for it but I would for the rest The sushi is of above average quality and they even have nigiri. I can say I paid 20$ in California for the same quality of nigiri for a chefs sampler and here is all you can eat, and if you want you can even make it sashimi by separating the rice and is still good quality. They have a surprising amount of sauces that you don’t find a lot at buffets. Deserts are awesome with the tiramisu cake way better than the one you get from your local store. Salads have huge options with even calamari available. Than you have the Texas style options with ribs pulled pork fried chicken and beef strips, fries and the usual American food touch. The drinks I do have to say are not great I’d say stick with the soda or water tea is cheap and flavorless. Service could be improved but the food makes it up for the rest Bottom line I give it a 9 out of 10 Ps: kids eat for 6$ plus if your kid can’t finish his plate and you are nice they will let you take his plate at home which is a...
Read morePretty disappointing overall. I always loved going here but recently since I've been here, the quality of the food and cleanliness has gone down. I understand if maybe they have new chefs, but that doesn't mean the food should be undercooked, OVERcooked and flavorless. The egg drop soup was not only cold, but tasted as if it hasn't been swapped out for new soup but instead mixed with the old, and it was nauseating when I tasted it. The dumplings tasted as if they had been sitting there and left out before they were taken into the dining area. As for cleanliness, the condiments and napkin holders were embellished with grime and stickiness, it was honestly disgusting. Especially if people had been handling them while putting their fingers into their mouths as they ate. Gross. However, food wise, the sushi never disappoints me and it is indeed, always fresh. As for the food in general, it doesn’t taste the same and the quality is mediocre. I know for a FACT some of it’s old; it tastes old. It is bland, I could easily buy some instant noodles from Walmart and it would taste so much more better. I’m sorry, I loved it here. I will come by again next time and if the quality is the same, it will be my last time. Really...
