Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Waycross

Upon my lunch visit to Applebee's we discovered that they were in the middle of shift change which was no issue because we were quickly seated upon arrival. After that it took a minute for our waitress to come but when she did she was full of excitement and happy to serve us. I do forget her name but she was a beautifully sized woman with wonderful makeup! Appetizer came out quite quickly but the plate was very dirty with items that could not be explained because nothing was brown in relation to the artichoke spinach, dip or salsa that was placed on our table. Despite the fact that we may have gotten a dirty dish, we continued to eat anyway and later received our entrees which were amazing although... The shrimp was not thoroughly cooked until it still had a soft slimy texture to it. Upon ordering our Dollar Margaritas we first tried the strawberry which was amazing! Correct amount of alcohol and correct amount of flavor. But unfortunately the second Margarita we received was very weak in the mango flavor and did not taste proper. We asked politely for an exchange in which our waitress told us that the bartender was giving her a hard time and was really stressing her out. Later we did receive another mango margarita but to our dismay it was still flavored very poorly. Not enough yellow coloring to submit the flavor of mango. The third attempt just made us want to leave because in our opinion the bartender added strawberry to the already distasteful mango margarita which made it taste even worse because it still was not enough flavoring to cover. Later when it came time to tip my waitress I could not find her due to her crying in the bathroom for at least 5 minutes because of all the stress she was enduring so shortly after clocking into work! I secretly tipped her and told her not to tell anyone because she deserved more than the treatment she was receiving from her fellow teammates. I'd give neg 5 stars if possible. First off, no one not even the most patient person likes being ignored I guess I should have expected something when at 1230 they only had 4 tables with people eating in there. Yet my starved mind and failing body just saw 6 emp and thought great should be no wait let's eat! But no after 5 min of standing at the door I get greeted and seated still ready to pass oit from hunger I finally ordered. An app and was amazed 15 to 20 min later when it finally came out. I observed everyone else had food so I guess the kitchen had to jatch the eggs grow the boneless wings then cook them. Not once did the waitress tell me anything or refill my drink. Guess those soap operas were to good to tear themselves away for a min, and wouldn't you know it could not even eat my french onion soup I also ordered as yhe salt might have been less salty. That must have been the running theme that day cause could not eat the fries that came with my burger either. And still only one drink refill. I didn't know this Applebee's was from dune, but they served drinks like it was the depression and fluid was worth more than gold, yet salt was worthless. Had I any worries about escargot, they were admonished as neither snails nor demons could cross the salt wards against the evil. Saying that, other than getting almost everything I asked for on my burger, it tasted good, or maybe I was so dehydrated and starving I thought it did at least. No wonder they weren't busy as only 6 of us wondered into this island from lost to try 6o find food. Only to have the monster trick us. Wish I could write a review without having to even give a star. Tonight was the worst experience out of all of them. Keep giving chances and every one is ruined. We are officially done visiting this location. We got there at 6pm ordered drinks. Then our meals. Getting our salads on time was the only thing that ended up correctly. After ordering about 40 minutes went by with no food. Finally 2 out of 8 people in our party got food and the others were still waiting. The kids Taco came out burnt, I would never allow the appearance of this taco out of the kitchen if I were the manager. The food received for 3/8 people in our party were incorrect and sent back twice. We asked the manager about the issues we were having and all he said was , “he is sorry we are just really behind.” As he walks away the waitress them admits that a cook got sent home due to issues they were dealing with.. even then it was a sorry excuse for a manager to respond with to a customer. One of the men in our party didn’t get his food until 35 minutes after we had already received ours. The food was disgusting and none of us ate Any of ours. At the end of our visit, we receive checks that not surprisingly were not right... the only good thing the manager did was realize the mistakes of his establishment and comp all of our meals. Needless to say this trip was awful and we were there for well over 2 hours... and left hungry. Never again, this place should...
