UPDATE: I emailed the owner on Monday , when I finally got a response he asked for my number which I provided. I didn’t get a call back until Thursday. So after I explained everything that happened. He said that he would have fully refunded my money on Monday but since I posted my review of my experience on Sunday he wouldn’t do it now and would only refund the part I paid for the specialty cake flavors since I didn’t get those. He also said my family lied about the delivery driver being told how to fix it over the phone. That’s one of the things they were most upset about, my parents were understanding up to that point and when that was said my dad basically told them they had 3 hours to get a new one there. So just for future reference don’t post a bad review about your experience because he will refuse to return money... not sure how that’s legal but it is what it is..........I got married on June 12, 2021 and had Holts make my wedding cake. I’m sad to say it was disastrous! My cake arrived in a regular delivery van with no refrigeration. The icing was melted and the cake falling down into itself. After my family saw it the only offer to make it right was for the woman on the phone to talk the delivery driver through how to fix my cake. This was unacceptable as he had no experience in cake decorating what so ever. They did bring a replacement cake which was carried on a tray in the rain and arrived as I was walking through the door for my ceremony. The replacement cake wasn’t even the flavors that I ordered. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Not only was my cake ruined and I didn’t get the flavors I ordered, my ceremony was disturbed by the delivery of the cake. I’m calling this morning as I would like a refund for the cost...

Wonderful as always and the only fuss I have is I drove all the way from Brantey County at 5:45am only to find when I ordered the first thing and there weren't any, then my second request (nope didn't get that one either. Then finally I settled "Oh my goodness! Jesus help them please!" I wanted a chocolate cream filled donut or a " dark chocolate covered donut so bad the miles I decided to drive never once thinking that those request would be on the regular list of donuts they were suppose to have don't in the mornings. So imagine my surprise, shortly turning into dis belief, then sadness!! God, I've thought about this ever since Friday and it's almost Monday. Nothing to be said we just do what we are told and that is why I never said a thing to them, but they can report this to them in hopes of adding or changing our products from customer customers suggestions. That would sound like music for these eyes. All in good fun but seriously to whomever holds the high and reveared decision making power. Please please please put some chocolate cream into some light and delicious flaky pastry!!!!!!!! Or start making new Orleans Benets with hot fudge dipping sauce or some Chocolate Canoli's, and there I'll stop!!!!!! I love you guys and think a joint business, y'all would be...

I was told on Friday to come up there Monday to discuss a cake I wanted to get custom made for a baby shower. When I got up there Monday afternoon, the lady tells me..."As of this morning, we are not doing custom order cakes." That upset me, as I have always wanted a cake made from Holts and finally was going to get one only to be told that they aren't making them anymore. Ended up with one from Piggly Wiggly. THEN....To add to that...I was in the store and wanted some jelly filled doughnuts and had already told the lady. And I was a first time customer. She sold ALL of the jelly filled doughnuts (approx 2 dozen) different kinds thru the drive thru with me standing right there waiting. That was not good customer service. I ended up buying a half of an Italian Cream Cake, icing was waaay too sweet. Was disappointed. And bought some caramel covered doughnuts with pecans on them. They were good. And Some creme filled croissant funnel things....can't remember the name but they were DELICIOUS!!!! ANYWAY... HOLT'S I have ALWAYS heard great things about you guys. Nothing BUT great things.
