Virginia grown chain of pizzeria pubs that has spread to multiple states across the south & midwest. Noted for its 28" pizza, the only size available, or by the slice which is more than enough for most people. The staff is friendly, the service is fast, and the pizza is made to order. Though the menu is pretty sparse, it keeps it simple and probably helps with the speed and cost. Atmosphere is amusing with an ages-past-industrial-repurpose feel. This location is interesting with its warren of dining spaces.

The pizza, even by the slice, is very large and satisfying. It has sufficient sauce and toppings to get a good flavor combination in the bite. It is a "thin" crust pizza, but the edges are still a bit thick and the toppings didn't make it as far to the edge as I would like, leaving a pretty significant crust ring. We tried the sausage and the Veggie Special slices. The sausage slices were a little muted in flavor, so not as flavorful as anticipated. The roasted peppers and onions on the Veggie were well distributed and did translate into a full flavor profile, more so than the sausage. The dough, made fresh daily on site, has a good consistency and cooked well with a nice slight spotty blackening to the bottom. Flavor for the crust is a little bland. It doesn't detract from your topping flavors but also does not elevate the flavors either. When we got to the bare crust, dipping sauces were pretty necessary.

Good pizza, great service, nice atmosphere. We will probably try some of the other...

Chilly October nights have a magical way of catalyzing a feeling. The cold seems to sink in, and without anything to warm one's core we are often left melancholy. At such times, a good beer and a hot slice of pizza the size of your face does wonders to feed your body and soul. It isn't just the food and drink that turns it around, the atmosphere is near paramount. I picked this restaurant out of dozens within walking distance because of the name.

Picking a restaurant is more simple than reading a review or looking at pictures. I could tell you about the truly phenomenal pizza (Even my father, stoic at best when it comes to food commented on how good it was), or the wonderful selection of beverages (They have maine root products! Haven't seen that since oregon!). Picking a restaurant is about noticing character, and this place has it. Good food can be expensive. A good atmosphere is priceless.

The experience wouldn't have been the same without eclectic thrift store bonanza all over the walls and some flat surfaces, the ruddy brick, the dividing geometry of the floor plan. It really wouldn't have been the same without the stellar staff. Chester really could make friends...

A pizza 28" in size and actually good is fantastic. The pepperoni and mushrooms I usually order are generous and very good quality. The sauce and cheese very good as well. Either a whole pie or single slice, it is always cooked correctly and fresh. Not a huge soggy mess like many other large pizzas. It is done quickly and if you call ahead it has always been done when they say. Friendly staff and I like the location and shop as well. The restaurant is a very cool spot to eat and relax with a beer or root beer and if you need something sweet there is gelato. For what you get it is worth every penny. Have room in your car, she is a big one. I was recently back for a full pie and was again very pleased with the service and the food. I love that these places exist. This is not...

The pizza was very good. They have several choices of a single slice for $6 each. Then they heat it up and serve it. The slices are huge. It would be nice if they had a plate the size of the pizza. They put it on two paper plates. They had plastic forks which made it difficult to cut. I know your not supposed to cut it but that's just me. It has a thin crispy crust. The sauce taste like it has Parmesan cheese in it . They also have wings but we didn't try them. Not much room inside ( just a few tables).
