It's rare for me to leave a review, good or bad. This was my first visit under the new ownership. Sadly, if they want to be successful they need to take lessons from a food truck owner or from one of the other Franchises. Upon entering I was happy to see four customers in front of me. I ordered 3 dogs with spicy chili, mustard and onions. Unfortunately my smile quickly faded as they informed one customer they were out of BBQ and offered them a bag of chips or a drink in place of it. (Not equal value) The customer asked for a refund for the sandwich. While waiting for my order, another customer came in and ordered 2 dogs. That order was completed before mine. After a 20 minute wait and watching the parking ticket lady mark the tires on my car, I watched them prepare my order in what seemed to be slow motion. So, I get back to my office to share the order with a co-worker, both of us were expecting to enjoy a famous Sam's Hot Dog, but found ourselves searching for the dog. It was a tiny little thing, snuggling in the bun under a slather of mustard and onions...no spicy chili. I checked the order written on the bag and at the very top was 3 dogs ...spicy chili with mustard and onions. So, moving on, we had our first taste of a luke warm dog on the outside but cold on the inside, like it was recently removed from the cooler. As a long time customer this service is truly disappointing. My co-worker said not again and I had to agree. I hope they pay attention to these reviews as Online reviews and customer recommendations by word of mouth can make or break them. I do hope they succeed but unfortunately I will spend my money at another establishment. Oh, and don't forget to look your customers directly in the eye and say thank you....like...
Read moreWhen we moved here six years ago the Waynesboro Sam's was our favorite hot dog "joint". No more. Three owners later it no longer qualifies. The owner?/server does not know how to simply make and serve hot dogs anymore and appears to never have. He is easily and constantly distracted while filling the order. Last time there (after saying I would not go there again), he was dumping cold hot dogs into the hot water while in the process of filling our order. The hot dogs were not hot, they tasted terrible, they were totally unappealing looking (and skimpily topped) because he does not know how to wrap them to go neatly or properly. They are crumpled and look as if they went through the war. I took one bite and threw away the rest. The onion rings were greasy, not drained properly and one was just a long, straight strand of onion. No more chances - we'll head on over to the Verona Sam's when we want a good Sam's hot dog. This guy should take lessons from the fellow working...
Read moreThis use to be a very good place to eat. Now their products are little to nothing! I ordered lunch for me and my client (who has been a long time customer). She was less than dissatisfied. I asked for extra onions and cold slaw on her hotdog there was barely any. She even asked me if they even put chili on it. I also ordered a chili cheese dog with ketchup, there was no ketchup and no cheese, barely any chili. The hotdog itself was way smaller than the hotdog bun. Also I ordered 2 orders of fries and the "2" orders were shoved into one small styrofoam box. I ordered an order of fried pickles and got MAYBE 6 pickles in the whole order. But paid full price for all the items. I understand times are tough but don't take advantage of your customers, especially long time customers. Which you have now lost, she will no longer buy from your establishment. I no longer recommend visiting this establishment. It's not worth the...
