It's great having a proper Irish pub in town, and McCormick's Pub and Restaurant in Wayzata hits the mark. Overlooking beautiful Lake Minnetonka, this place blends traditional Irish vibes with awesome Continental and Nouveau American dishes.
We had a Guinness, French onion soup, tartare, fried clams, a tasty burger on a potato bun, a bottle of white wine, and ended with a hazelnut mousse. My daughter loved the mousse.
The staff at McCormick's are top-notch. Drew, our waiter, was super helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Cait was hilarious with my daughter, making her laugh and feel special. My daughter asked Cait for a to-go box for the first time ever, and Cait even let her put her crayons in it. That made her day!
Sitting on the patio, with Lake Minnetonka in the distance and hearing the chatter of passerby’s was simply wonderful. It’s a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy life.
Whether you're grabbing lunch, hitting up Happy Hour, or settling in for a full dinner, McCormick's Pub and Restaurant offers a unique and memorable experience.

Read moreI come here 2-3 times a year as a tradition to mark the seasons. I love to sit in the bar / pub area, eat food, drink something, and relax.
The setting and interior are 5-star. Love them. Very cozy and welcoming.
The mixed drinks have always been good, for me. I had my first Moscow Mule here and I’ve had a couple since then and enjoyed all of them.
The service is hit or miss. Sometimes the only person servicing the busy bar / pub area is the bartender, and I know that’s demanding but to be plain, if I even notice that’s the case, the restaurant has already made an error.
I’ve had good food here. Very good, in fact. The last time I visited, though, the French onion soup - which I usually get as part of my meal - was subpar. I remember it being better, but maybe I’ve had the excellent French onion soup from Redstone so many times in the interim that it crowded out all competitors in my memory.
I’ll likely be back for my next visit, but if the food or service are lacking again, future visits may be...
Read moreStopped at the public docks while on Lake Minnetonka to go grab some dinner with the family. This was a super close spot to the docks and seemed family friendly with outdoor seating (partially covered, so it was nice and shady on a hot day). The atmosphere was great and the staff were super nice.
The kids ordered cheeseburgers and chicken tenders. My daughter thought they were one of the best Cheeseburgers she has had lol. My son's chicken tenders were amazing, not your standars kids chicken tenders (had to try a bite).
We ordered some food to share. We got the Wings, Tenderloin Sliders with Truffle Fries and this new brazilian dish (forgot what it was called). Everything tasted delicious.
No complaints, however it's definitely not the least expensive casual family dinner, but nothing less to expect from a nice restaurant in Wayzata. We will...
