I ordered my Thanksgiving breads and desserts from the Wuollet location in Edina, because I like to support local when I can. I went to pick them up, and much to my surprise, only half the order was ready; I was told the other half was delayed and I was assured it would be ready by 10:30am, three-and-a-half hours after the scheduled time.
Not once was I called or notified about this delay prior to stopping in at 7:00am, which was the originally quoted time to pick up my order.
I stop in again at 11:30am. I was once more told the order was delayed but would be ready between 1-2pm. Surprise! I also wasnāt called or notified in any way about this second delay.
At 2:30pm, I call before going back. I spoke to Annie, who told me my order would not be ready until Thanksgiving morning ā a day later than scheduled ā but had never once bothered to send so much as an e-mail about this third delay (or any of the prior two delays, for that matter.)
Apparently there was a āproduction issueā at wherever the breads and desserts were made. In summary, the store was making blind promises, not communicating and had ultimately not fulfilled my order.
I requested a refund instead, as I was not going to continue this game with this store or with Annie, and I certainly wasnāt stopping in on Thanksgiving morning because of their mistake. Annie gave me a refund and that was it.
This lack of communication and continued, unexplained delays were absurd. There was no reason the store could not have communicated the delays ā it was a large Thanksgiving order, after all.
I will never, ever do business with this bakery again. In reading other reviews here, I think thatās the best choice.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a disappointment. Our son turned 16 on Christmas Day 2023. We ordered a cake and asked for it in the shape of 16. We asked that it be in 1 piece and not separate cakes. We were told that Woullet ONLY makes it in 1 cake and carved/shaped the 16 out of it. We asked if we should send a picture to show exactly what we envisioned and were told no need. It was $90.
We showed up on Christmas Eve to get the cake and this is what we got. The counter worker apologized profusely but it wasnāt her fault. Now we couldnāt get another cake made as it was Christmas Eve and there was no way for Wuollet to fix it. We asked that someone from the bakery call us when they open back up.
This was a $90 cake?! This is a cake that you would get from a mass retailerā¦not a bakery that specializes in desserts?!
To put the icing on the cakeā¦no one called us. I had to call in and requested that someone call us to discuss how our 16yr olds cake was a disaster and was a real downer to his celebration.
As of today..no one has called us back. We will never order again nor will we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNO CURBSIDE!! I called directly to Wayzata Wuollet who said she could do a curbside order and I paid over the phone. Upon curbside arrival, I waited on hold on the phone for 10 minutes for someone to pick up my call that I was there. I finally went in and asked. The staff said 1) they donāt answer the phone on the weekend, and 2) I made the mistake of placing my order through ācorporateā (not true). Never apologized for their mistake and never offered a solution. Several customers in line actually apologized to me for my experience. Ridiculous. I chose curbside because I had 3 little kids in the car. If you donāt have means for curbside, then donāt pretend you have...
