Okay. This is a review I never, ever wanted to leave. I love ironworks. What they’ve brought to Weatherford is amazing, needed, and appreciated.
The drive thru location in particular has been struggling for about a year. The coffee is almost always lukewarm (I always have to order it “extra hot” and even then sometimes it is barely warm.) I consistently order a 16 oz, and 9 times out of 10 it feels like there is barely anything in the cup, and that’s because it’s nearly all foam. Today, I ordered 2 extra hot lattes and a Texas Cheeter, (warmed up). I had to repeat the order 3 times to the employee at the intercom, before pulling up to the window, and I know for certain I did indeed say two breve lattes, and they repeated two breve lattes. I was handed one barely hot latte, and after bewildering the employee with the news that I had indeed ordered TWO lattes, and was met with zero apology or friendliness whatsoever, just awkward annoyance, I waited for and paid for another lukewarm, half foam latte. I also watched as the employee put the Cheeter in the microwave before they bagged and handed it to me. When I opened it as I was driving away, I found it was completely cold (unmelted cheese in the center, cold).
This is just one instance of the utter laziness and incompetence I experience regularly from the drive thru employees. I have spoken with other people who I know go through the drive thru, and they have had similar bad experiences. There is a handful of people who are legit and are hardworking, and good at their job.
