It’s unfortunate because I have been here many times for a quiet place to study away from my loud house or an even louder starbucks. But today I was taken aback. I sat down at an empty table facing the window and had just set my laptop and numerous journals out, when a woman came and placed a menu in front of me. She politely asked if I would like anything to drink or eat, and I felt a little uncomfortable to tell her that I had forgotten my wallet at home so I didn’t need anything today. She proceeded to look at me very annoyed which prompted me to ask if I had to buy something in order to stay there. She answered with a sarcastic smile “well it is a business so if you expect to occupy the space then we expect you to be a customer.” I was shocked at her blatant terrible customer service. Just because I wasn’t a consumer that time does not mean I never would have bought their coffee ever again. I immediately felt as if I had done something wrong because I didn’t open my wallet right when I sat down. Of course, the woman could have been having a bad day; however, as a worker in retail I would NEVER make a customer feel unwelcome if they weren’t going to buy anything, if I did then every store I work at would go broke! The fact is that I would much rather deal with a noisy starbucks that has better customer service (and coffee) than ever take my potential business back here. And I hate to break it to the owner but if it is your policy to force customers to buy in order to sit, your cup is going to be empty real quick. Excuse me for being a broke college adult, I will take my lack of money elsewhere since it is clearly not...
Read moreI don't usually dish out a 5 star review. In fact this marks the first time. I'll start by saying I grew up in weatherford. In a town littered with liquor stores and beauty salons on every corner, finding a quality bookstore(or anything of the sort) is quite the rarity, and usually short-lived. However, under the guidance of Ms. DeWitt, and Ms. Talmage; this shop has grown to be a thriving staple of the community here. The service here is a step above most other local businesses. Despite a small staff, and a large clientele, my order is always promptly served, and I've never noticed as I recollect, a time when things became too hectic. The brews here are divine. Rich and full-bodied, blended with heavy foam and pervasive, dynamic flavor. A large assortment of specialty drinks: colored with unique titles, which showcase not only the charisma of the establishment but the community as a whole. The arrangement of the decor and the books has always impressed me. The layout is tightly knit, cozy, with a large variety. It's interesting to me that with the limited space and fequented traffic the atmosphere is warm and comfortable. And the way certain rows of books jut out give the customer a feeling of immersion. The Full Cup put simply, is not a small example of what a coffee shop should be. Rather, it is a testament of the caliber, quirk and creativity that has fueled small businesses of every origin in...
Read moreLove going to this coffee shop on weekends my wife is off work. The owners seem to be amazing ladies whom are very friendly. My issue is with the younger employees. They are always very dry, not friendly at all. (At least to my wife and me) Which typically isn’t an Issue because we quickly order, get our stuff and head out. This Sunday one of the newest employees was working the register. I ordered a 16oz iced white chocolate lavender latte, 1/2 sweet. They didn’t have white chocolate. No big deal, I’ll take a 16oz iced chocolate lavender latte, half sweet. She made me repeat it multiple times and then asks me if it’s simple syrup I want. I was confused, I just wanted half of the syrup that comes in the drink. My wife speaks up and explains that to her. Then the male employee with long, dark hair comes over and says “we have lots of syrups, you’ll have to be more specific than that” and walks away. I asked the girl at the register why I felt like there was tension. She assured me there wasn’t any on her end. I said, I come here pretty often and it’s usually not this complicated to order. Her response, “i don’t know who you are” LOL I don’t need ANY of them to know me, recognize me or remember my order. I’d just like my coffee without feeling like I’m being difficult, but I guess that’s a me issue? We'll be taking a break from the full cup...
