Tried the Boiling Cajun after a few friends suggested I try it. Parking is in the back. Place is small, but lively. A singer who goes by Papa Yodelgoat was playing classic rock music at a nice restaurant appropriate volume. His singing of the songs gave them a unique twist because he didn't scream or yell them like the original bands did. It was a calm singing voice accompanied by the instrumental track and his acoustic guitar. Gave the place a nice little vibe straight from the door. When we came in we were slightly confused. Weren't sure whether it was a seat yourself situation or a wait for a table place. The waitresses were very busy since it was a Friday night and this is the only place like this in Weatherford. Definitely not the waitresses fault. I wish there was a sign up front saying seat yourself as that would allow them to do their job and not have customers confused. Minor issue, but could smooth things up if done. I got the attention of a waitress and they explained it is "seat yourself". Situation resolved. Now onto the food 🤤 Our waitress was named Adison. She was friendly, smiling, helpful, and professional. Always a good sign when you first try a place. We ordered a couple appetizers and were very impressed with both. 1/2 order Alligator tenders (like bite size pieces of gator) and 8ct Hushpuppies. The gator was fantastic and they included a sweet and mildly spicy dipping sauce with it. 7yr old was hesitant when we ordered gator and swore he would only eat the hushpuppies. He ended up eating half the basket of gator within 5min of it hitting the table. The serving is about a handful of fried pieces. Next time I'll order the full order (about 2 handfuls). Hushpuppies were also amazing. I loved that they weren't dry! The centers were still moist and tasty. They literally melt in your mouth. And speaking of melt...get the garlic butter to dip them in. That stuff is soooo good. Son ordered the Chicken Tenders šŸ™„ kids... And wife and I got the Master and Commander (Mild) and added a LB of Crawfish. My wife is a big New Orleans fan and she really enjoyed the seasoning on the bowl and every one of the meats. The Master and Commander has the Lobster Tails, Crab Legs and Claws, Sausage, and Clams in it with potatoes and corn. With the LB of crawfish added we almost finished it. Left with one to-go container. I did like the bowl. However if done again I would get the Spicy. I like my Cajun with a little more zing and I was expecting some on the mild. This didn't have any at all. To each their own, some people like non-spicy cajun. I prefer a little at least. I have heard the spicy can be overly spicy from a couple people, but can depend on the cook that night. I'm definitely going to give them another try, and don't get me wrong, for Weatherford Texas I am very impressed. You would have to drive a long way to get authentic food like this. And did I mention the lobster and every other meat we ordered was PERFECTLY cooked? That is no easy task. Even for high end seafood joints. Boiling Cajun came to take home awards. And they will. Just don't go take all the seats next weekend. I'm going to go back šŸ˜‚

First time visit impressions: The Gumbo was VERY salty but if you can look past that it had a good flavor. The shrimp & chicken were not rubbery like some over cooked GumBo but the sausage had a rubbery texture. We got the Alligator bites for our appetizer. It was tender but the batter was pretty bland & more breading than meat, however the Asian sweet chili sauce they served with them is one of my favorite sauces so i was ok with it. For the main course we ordered the Jalapeno Burger. Again, first impressions, i tasted the salt in the burger rite off the bat BUT when a full bite is taken it is still a good burger and knocks the salt down to bearable for my son and i. The patty was crunchy on the outside and the Buns were Butter Toasted & that was nice. We added the Louisiana hot sauce to ours because it didn't come with it on it. The fries were perfectly cooked and tasty. All in all this place is definitely cozy and the food is good and i would eat here again but if you have Salt intake problems i would definitely avoid it. DESSERT: We got the Oreo Cheesecake and it did not disappoint. The cheesecake was very delicious and looked amazing also. Our waitress Brooke was very attentive and we never had to wait.

February 14 exactly today that I am posting this review. We ate around 5 PM- 6:PM . And if I can rate our experience tonight. I will rate a zero star. 1st.) The salad taste bitter, the croutons is kinda bitter and burnt. I don’t know if they make their own croutons. 2nd) my husband ask if they have blue cheese, and the waiter said yes. But then she came back and said , no they don’t have blue cheese, but she apologized to us. So instead she ask if she can serve us a Italian or something else’s which is okay coz we don’t have choice. 3rd.) their mozzarella cheese stick it’s bitter and over cooked and the coating or breaded they used it something un explainable. And the cheese they put in it, it’s like a vegan cheese or it’s probably old or expired cheese. Why I’m saying vegan cheese, coz I’m exposed to vegan person. So I know better! 4.)I ordered King crab’s, and it costs 59.95 And it’s only 1 big king legs and a small one. I was very excited when I saw my order since I was very hungry. But then after eating half of my crabs, I notice the after taste and the texture of the crabs is old. Why I’m saying is old, I grew up near the ocean and I knew better what fresh and what is not. At fist the smells is okay, but then when I ate it, I want to gagged but I forced my self not too, but continued eating bcoz I was hungry. But in the other hand, I prayed and hoping that I won’t get food poisoning. So until I almost finished my crabs, 5.) I also ordered rice, but the rice served almost we are finishing our dinner. And guessed what? The rice is un cooked. I was very disappointed. I know pretty well if the rice cooked or not. I eat rice 3x day at home. There’s no way you guys can trick me when it comes to rice. But take note; I still eat the 1 rice bcoz I was hungry šŸ˜žI was thinking of retuning the rice but there is no way I can get a hold of the waitress, she don’t even check our table, and when she serves the people next to us, I tried to called her twice but she didn’t even bother to look back or maybe she is deaf , or no cares at all. 6.) my husband ordered a Master commander which costs us 67.90 And tasted his order, and he is not happy at all also. I see the crabs is olds, I can see some molds on a crabs and empty meats inside when I ripped it the crabs. Seeing the crabs like that, I again gagged, but I kept on zipping my mouth so that my husband don’t notice my reactions. So while he is eating his foods, I ask him what do you think of your foods? He said this is the worst foods ever in my life. I should have take the pictures of those empty crabs but I forgot. But I have all the video before we...

New to Weatherford have tried a ton of local restaurants & haven’t had a bad meal once UNTIL NOW Unfortunately, we will NOT BE RETURNING! There were only 2 of us (6 ppl at restaurant so not busy BTW) I got a ā€œSPICY BOILā€ my husband got ā€œGARLICā€ they switched them. Unfortunately Spice doesn’t sit well with my husband.. our very unsympathetic/unfriendly waitress took his back & ā€œFIXED ITā€ & Brought me out ā€œ A Spicy Sauceā€ to pour into mine! As well as I asked to substitute ā€œ Andouille SAUSAGEā€ for 2 potatoes And you would’ve thought I was asking for the OPPOSITE she wasn’t sure if they could do that bcuz of the ā€œProduce Count ā€ SHE WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE US $1.50 WHAT?? well, now you would have an increase of sausage if that’s the case! Lol And then I bit into my corn, and it tasted like vinegar. You could smell the vinegar or Vinegar base of something but she checked with the chef and they don’t use vinegar… That’s an alarming with itself. You can clearly smell/taste vinegar ! Did she ask for the piece of corn to take back to chef Or see if I wanted another one to replace it? NOPE! At almost $40 A PLATE YOU WOULD THINK /HOPE SO.. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen so that was strike three! And then the bill came nothing taken off. No apologies and I told her in the very beginning that I was super interested in one of her desserts, especially the BREAD PUDDING..did she offer? NOPE I WAS A WAITRESS FOR 15 YEARS. I AM NOT HIGH MAINTENANCE CUSTOMER AT ALL. IN FACT, I USUALLY NEVER COMPLAIN AND I WASN’T RUDE ABOUT ANY OF THESE ISSUES Until I RECEIVED THE BILL and that’s how I showed how unhappy I was, first of all she gave me a bill from a computer. When I said, can I have the itemized bill she simply slapped down a paper receipt. That was $5 cheaper $127 to $122. ( new to Texas & Apparently, credit/Debits have a service fee.. this was unknown to me at the time NOW I know) would’ve paid cash but I was $10 short but I did have a ā€œfewā€ ONES For the Tip! Chefs make mistakes and Servers are the go-between do yourself a favor ladies and correct the mistakes you work for TIPS & APOLOGIES GO ALONG WAYS!! This could’ve gone a whole lot better! SAD BECAUSE WE LOVE ā¤ļø A...
