Okay, I don't normally give reivews for places because most places are like every other... And thus, not really worth comment. Rio Mambo however has set a new and unattainable bar in which other places are going to need to meet and attempt to exceed. My wife and I came here yesterday for dinner and the experience was amazing. The food was not only good, but the exceptional service we received from Victoria (Waitress) and the positive responses we received from Jose (Manager) have made this a memorable moment. So memorable in fact, we decided to get lunch there the next day. Party due to the food and service the day before, but also to see if our amazing experience was a fluke. I am pleased to say that it was not. We were greeted by a different Manager who was amazing and sat in a different section and had a different server. Once again the food was amazing and Darian (server) was equally attentive and personable.... It makes me wonder if they even hire people with a less than perfect personality. Over all, I cannot say enough great things about this place. While I hope everyone decides to try this place out eventually, I would have to lose the quiet, comfortable feel of the establishment. It has a comfortable and very relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel very comfortable. The outside patio dinner was amazing and the inside was also comfortable and inviting.
I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone wanting a good and...

New, higher prices Reduced menu, including the removal of our two favorite items that we ate all the time since this place opened. Weak as water margaritas. The margaritas were usually the high point of Rio Mambo, and we swear there was about zero alcohol during our last visit. We feel scammed, TBH Maybe it was just this particular visit, but the food quality and portion seems to have taken a nosedive. The flauta martini was an absolute joke, tiny portion and more shredded salad than it was anything else. We also ordered guacamole which was likewise the smallest portion we've ever seen at Rio Mambo. The chicken fajita meat on our nachos was so overcooked they were dry, dusty, and inedible. Of course the server asked us nothing when he picked up our finished plate which had a pile of chicken meat on it. Since the day this place opened up, the service here is iffy at best. This remains the same. Drop of your items...and disappear....or BS with other servers all standing around at the end of the bar. It amazes me how people who work for tips don't seem to know how to earn good tips. We have always felt the staff here needs DIRE training, they usually have zero knowledge about items they serve, menu changes, etc. No more InKind
Congratulations to the new owners: we will NEVER...
Read moreI didn't like the food very much, but they were very accommodating and had no trouble working with my food substitutions.
The waitress we had was very, shall we say, relaxed in her mannerisms. She was calling everyone girlie, which isn't really a problem, it's an endearing word, but it doesn't really fit the restaurant. Rio Mambo has beautiful and chic design with low lights, a water wall, and all kinds of shiny and sparkly things, like a formal place to eat or take your partner out to for date night. The casual lingo and appearances of the staff didn't fit with the restaurant. (With the exception of the manager, who you could see walking around and checking on everyone. They were dressed very nicely.)
Do not get the Queso. It's like a gelatinous and jiggly yellow solid in a bowl with a sprinkling of tomatoes. It reminded me of a block of Velveeta "melted" down. Real Queso drips off your chip and would spill everywhere if you knocked the bowl over. This Queso would stay in the bowl and perch on your chip, daring you to take a bite of it.
The Fajita was pretty good, but cut way to big for my burrito. It just throws off all the proportions of the food if you take a bite of the burrito and the Fajita pulls out all the innards of the burrito on the way out. 😂 Still...
