I have been eating at the Pizza Place since 1982. I’ve never had a better pizza anywhere. When I moved to Arlington in the mid 90’s. I would drive all the way from Arl to get Roger’s amazing Canadian bacon( real. CB … not just ham playing the part) or their amazing hamburger pizza. I usually order a half n half to eat in the dining room but I’ve been known to order a pizza uncooked so I could make it at home so it’s fresh after an hour drive each way. Their sprinkle cheese is the most unique and the most amazing blended topping I’ve ever had. We recently moved to Godley but I’ll still be making the hour each way drive. Amazing food and amazing community partner. Roger’s support for the schools and the students was second to none and inspiration to many businesses and neighbors alike. I know my name is there in the wood of the back booth somewhere. It’s been 41 years now so I’m sure it’s faded away. RIP Roger. I miss catching up with you while I’m in town visiting. I really need to get that recipe for the sprinkle cheese so when I make a pizza in my new pizza oven from Xmas. ( my pizza will be a sincere but sad imitation of Rogers creation!). I’m sure it’ll taste great on my home made pizza but the Pizza Place pizza is still the best you can get an I’ll never even get close to making his dough and sauce. Cyall soon!!!!! I’m gettin a hankerin for some...

I'm so embarrassed about how well I talked about this place, even brought family to try it out! We came here Monday night to celebrate my husband's birthday! I had to ask for a washcloth to wipe down the tables, chairs, and high chair as it was all sticky and disgusting. Nobody even offered to help me clean anything! We only had 5 adults 2 kids and a baby. We ordered 1 large pizza 2 mediums and a small. So it wasn't like we were putting anyone out. They were sorry about forgetting our drinks which was was fine of course. But everytime I went to the window to ask for something which was twice, nobody helped me except for one sweet lady. Everyone would just stand there looking and ignoring me! Not to mention the first time I went, the coke machine was out. But a whole 2 months later it was still out? And there was a huge group of wild children running around the whole restaurant screaming and yelling as if it were a playground running up and down the stairs, even coming up to our table playing disrupting our dinner. It was legit a mad house like we were at the zoo...
Read moreYou cannot beat the taste and quality of the pizza at The Pizza Place! It is truly one of a kind! BUT, since the re-opening after Rogers's passing, it seems like they are having trouble finding quality employees. The wait is longer than ever, they can't find delivery personnel, and the kids don't seem to grasp the concept of customer service very well. One poor girl who was on the register on Saturday evening was so flustered she couldn't remember how many dressings and parmesans we wanted to take with our order. When we called in our order we told them what kind of pizza and then said "A full order of spaghetti" (emphasis on A because she said it slow and loud the second time), when we got there, there were FOUR orders of spaghetti. 🤦🏼♀️ Whoever took the order was either rushing or not paying attention. My heart goes out to the management when it comes to finding quality student employees. Kids these days don't seem to value the work experience they are gaining.
But don't let the service deter you from experiencing the best pizza in town or a piece of true Parker...
