I wasn't unhappy with anything here, but I was not impressed either. I can say this is your basic breakfast joint, except it's stuck in a strip mall instead of standalone like saying Waffle House or IHOP. It is a nice strip mall along Weatherford's Main street, South of the square and north of I20. Closer to the square than I20. Don't expect cheaper prices due to the lack of a brand name. Don't avoid but don't go out of your way for this place either.
EDIT DUE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE: Sorry I offended. I don't intend to outline what an individual should be looking for in a place to eat, other than give my opinion that you shouldn't avoid or pursue. Instead, I've tried to paint a picture with words instead of paint, by describing what the place is like; so that the person reading this review is not surprised "in their own opinion" by anything they experience if they visit; and their life experiences no lack "in their own opinion" from not visiting either. To the owner, I would say, "It's Ok not to be the best, because perhaps convenience being on Weatherford's South Main street near the square is what a customer needs? Or perhaps you could pick one small thing and be so much better than competition that it would not be worth a their time to meet you or beat you at it. Then you would have a distinguishing feature, that those interested would pursue whether or not I thought it was worth it. In the end, If it seems a review hits below the belt, just rise above it. Those reading the reviews can see...
Read moreSo first, let me say that the way that the owner answers any reviewers' criticism, really came off as distasteful. It made me worried that I had made a mistake picking this restaurant for Saturday brunch with friends. Luckily, the restaurant, the staff, and food were all spectacular! We were able to sit out on the patio with my little chihuahua, and the weather was perfect! I would really like to commend our waitress, she was incredible and took amazing care of us! All of the wait staff that I encountered were so friendly! The food was amazing and I felt the prices were really spot on, the smores pancake special even seemed like a better value than most breakfast/brunch restaurants offer! This place is definitely not in the same league as a country diner but it's not quite big city pizazz either, it seems delightful on par with the fort worth and Weatherford vibe. I was very happy with my peach Bellini, the prosecco was very good, semi sweet and not too dry. Overall, we all had an amazing time and friends little girl says that it was her favorite breakfast! *note- we ordered our hashbrowns extra crispy and they came out perfect!!
I do want to mention here that reservations or some kind of more organized method of seating customers at a busy Saturday brunch hour is really going to make customers more enticed to wait. There was a large group that left due to being told that there wouldn't be a table available for 40 minutes when it appeared that most patrons had begun moving out and we were...
Read moreIf it is a hot day and you want a great place to hang out and get some good food, this is the place to go. It was the afternoon and I was in the mood for breakfast, which they serve all day. The staff was immediately attentive and helpful. This is a pretty small diner, and there were a ton of people there. However, it was not too busy. Everything was neat and clean. We were sat right away.
The coffee is decent, nothing to write home about but not horrible. Just what you need and a good diner. When I try a new place I always try to get the eggs Benedict if it is available. They did not disappoint. I asked for my hashbrowns to be well done, and they were made just right. The menu says that there chicken salad is homemade. I was skeptical, but then I tasted it and it was pretty good. And, I love my chicken salad so trust me when I say that you will like it. Whoever that chef is, knows what he is doing.
The server was attentive but not intrusive. Coffee and water was filled when needed, and at the end, she even offered a to-go cup, which she brought with piping hot coffee. That's the extra mile! You need to give this...
