Iâm from Las Vegas and just moved to Houston and so not knowing anything, I heavily use reviews to find places to check out. Let me just start with how skeptical I was about coming here. Yes, there are lots of great reviews, but all the bad ones really stood out to me. Like out of state people having issues with getting in. I used my Nevada state license and had no issues at all.
Reviews about bartenders being rude was absolutely not true at all. I was served by 3 different bartenders and they were all super attentive and very sweet. I donât see why they would ever have any reason to be rude to you unless you were just unpleasant to serve. Even the servers/cocktail waitresses who werenât serving me came over and asked if I was done with my drink so she could throw it away for me. It really shows they want to take care and pay attention to everyone.
With reviews about karaoke, they must have changed the guy whoâs in charge of the lineup or something because it was always different people up and signing the whole night. I didnât see any favoritism.
I also read their bathrooms were the worst people have ever seen so I was super nervous about using them. After all the drinks, I had to go lol so I built up the courage to give it a chance and it wasnât dirty at all. Maybe others just have very high standards, or I have low standards, but I think I saw an employee come in just to check up on the bathrooms at one point I was in there.
Pool was super busy, but thatâs to be expected for a Saturday night. Itâs $9/hr and thereâs no sign up or line for it. I was told to just keep an eye out for anyone returning pool balls and to just follow them so you can get it right after. So if youâre going there for just pool, I advise to show up early or just be a creeper and watch for someone returning the balls like I did.
Overall, I enjoyed myself. Iâm lucky itâs just down the street so Iâll definitely be back for another night of pool and listening to people karaoke :)

Read moreBeen a regular at the bar for a couple of years. Unpleasant evening for the first time ever. Tonight the karaoke DJ, Josh, intentionally skipped or ignored karaoke requests from individuals who did not purchase a drink (shot) for him or if he did not see if you had tipped him. It was blatantly in the face of patrons as I watch individuals purchase a shot for him and get moved the the front of the waiting list. My request, as others, were disregarded in a shameless manner. Later when asked about why he was skipping requests he acted âconfusedâ and did not have a reasonable response. After asking about the songs that were requested by individuals he deliberately played several songs without a single person singing. He played one song 2 times and another 3 times with no one singing. Then, Hate having to say this, the bartenders who usually are on top of it âforgotâ the pizza order I had purchased. I was told to wait fifteen minutes (I gave them 20) then questioned the status of the order only to see the bar back go to the fridge, open the pizza and place it on the oven. I waited 15 minutes asked about the pizza was told to wait.. I moved aside because I did not want to block the patrons purchasing beverages only for the same bartender to tell me âif you want to order drinks you need to order on the other sideâ I walk over to the other side and I asked about the pizza, he then remembered. I asked for a refund because I ordered the pizza 35 minutes earlier and the time is now 1am (bar closes at 2am). I did receive a refund. Several patrons were extremely frustrated and angry with the karaoke DJ Josh Darbyâs behavior. Clearly Iâm not the only individual with this complaint as they decided to replace him at 1:46. Maybe âŚ. If youâre not able to handle your alcohol you shouldnât be drinking while working. If that even is the reason for the poor...
Read moreWe came by yesterday on a Sunday night after work. We wanted to do something different and sing some songs.
Bartenders and drinks were great.
Everything was good up until the Karaoke.. We signed up around midnight and waited 2 hours for none of us to be called up. We couldn't help but notice he let 5 of the same people (including himself) go up more than twice. He kept referring to "the crew" who we assumed were of mix of employees on their day off and regulars. They went up like 3 times in the 2 hours. One of the girls who I assumed worked there even said "I didn't even sign up, he just keeps putting me on there" The Dj even said "ayye im going to sign you up" on the mic when said girl mentioned earlier arrived, skipping people who actually signed up. 2 of my friends went to calmly ask what was up and they said he was rude and short with them. He tried to say I signed up wrong (pincel on paper...really?). He had no accountability and then tried to get another employee to remove them because he claimed he was "being harassed" and the other employee just stood and stared at him because, suprise, they weren't harassing him. He just couldn't own up to how hard he messed up. My friends came back to my table and not too long after the DJ had the audacity to make a closing announcement apologizing to people who didn't get to sing, then said "they probably signed late around 1....maybe midnight" blaming the guests if they didn't get to sing in a petty tone. He said there were "a lot of sign ups"...buddy there were a lot of repeated singers. It wasn't that packed. Being skipped if it was actually THAT busy ok I understand. But when you obviously give favor to the employees and regulars, then lie, then lack accountability...it ruins a good time, and it keeps new people from coming back. But hey at least you keep your same ol repeats and...
