Oh boy where to start!? I've read some of the negative reviews and I'll tell you the sense of entitlement people have over someone else's business blows me away. Your typical Karen's complaining about not getting their way. We all know we can't stand those type of people so why even take their negative reviews into consideration. If a business says no VIP cards for a grand opening that is their right. Everyone KNEW it was going to be busy, so deal with the line or purchase a table with product before they sell out. It gets you and your guests in the vip reservation fast line, covers the door fee, you get bottles, buckets, or towers... TOWERS!!! Filled with perfectly poured mixed drinks. We had so much fun. Everyone treated us with kindness and respect. Hands down the owners and staff went all in on this one and did such an amazing job on this establishment. The place is beautiful, very traditional honky tonk vibes, cold air conditioning, padded leather seats, the best bartenders, not to mention waitresses... they all do a fantastic job at checking on their tables. There's a taco stand in the front if you get hungry. An outdoor patio area for smoking, vaping, hanging out and playing corn hole, a whole bar and a 2nd dj playing a different set. You can't get better than Whiskey River. These guys hold their people to a standard and it shows. Shout out to Joey for the amazing quick and painless reservation, Michael, Cidney, Adam, Linda, Todd, and Mike for all the hospitality and love you showed my team Tuesday...
Read moreWe had a reserved table for Friday night next to the dance floor, after being shown to our table we did wait like 30-45 mins before our waitress realized we were waiting for her to take our order for the things that came in the package we paid for, but mind you it’s opening weekend and so many people on the southside I’ve been waiting for a whiskey River to be on this side of town we were not upset I did message the gentleman Joey who I booked our tables through and he was so kind about it and he handled the situation appropriately.
Our waitress Latte like the coffee was so freaking amazing!!! It was crazy this past weekend and I feel like she handled herself amazingly without making us feel left out, And she apologized multiple times about not getting to us for the first 35 minutes as the computer systems were overloaded and her handheld did not alert her that we were seated at the table yet.
I was hoping for a bigger dance floor but it was totally fine it’s just it’s opening weekend so it was way more crowded than it probably will be from here on out the DJ was amazing even though I do feel like a lot of the songs more pop and pop country and not old-school country but even so it kept everybody moving.
I’m overall satisfied with night here at Whiskey River South and will definitely be returning!
Thank you to the staff at Whiskey River for making our events a memorable one especially Joey...
Read moreI missed opening weekend but have been three times this week and I’m impressed. I don’t know what people expected, if they’d ever been to whiskey north or west they would know what whiskey is about. The “formula” that whiskey south is in keeping with the extremely successful ones at north and west. That being said, south is exactly what I had hoped it would be. The dance floor is perfect(someone mentioned buckwild’s being so much bigger but that floor is laminate wood on concrete and if you dance too long on it it affects your knees badly. Whiskey is a class act. The bar servers wear similar clothes and colors and the bouncers do the same. We have been needing a place in this area for a long time and I’m so glad they’re here. Drink special are really good. If you got kicked out you need to look at why. They don’t just decide oh see that guy over there? Let’s kick him out. They are in the service industry and are not stupid. Every single employee that I’ve come into contact here is top notch. Friendly and professional. I go dancing a lot and WRS is my new go to...
