Bob Evans — Restaurant in Weirton District

Put in a Togo order at 1:10, I wanted curbside pickup and was told I could only do cash for that.... defeats the whole purpose but ok fine. Now have to take my 3 year old out of the car which is annoying. I was told My order would be ready in 15 min. Fast forward to 1:40 I have paid and been sitting in the waiting area of the not busy restaurant for 10 minutes. There are at least 6 employees including a manager just standing around in the back doing nothing; I tried to get their attention and was ignored; a woman who came on with two small children was also waiting now to be seated while I watched the employees continue to stand in the back. There was one young man there named Donovan he was the only one working. He was doing the host; cashier; and bagging Togo orders; he was also bussing tables; all while the other employees stood around in the back. Donovan seats the waiting guests and I ask him the status of my order he tries to ask the chatting employees and they ignore him; he walks back into the kitchen to ask; he comes back and tells me they are making sure the chicken is cooked all the way through... ok cool. Someone should have told me that it was gonna be a while when I paid I can run an errand and come back. Donovan goes back to work ringing a customer out and cleans their table. He comes back and sees me sitting there still. He asks for the chicken again. It finally comes up in the window and of course Donovan has to bag it bc everyone else is standing around. I got my order at 1:50. Took 40 minutes to cook chicken. This isn’t the first time I’ve had an expirence like this at this location. Maybe some new...

The food was wonderful as usual. However the service at this location is terrible compared to all the other locations I've been to. I finished my tea before my food arrived. Though many employees walked past my table, no one offered to refill it. I had to ask for a refill when my food was delivered. After my food was delivered, no one spoke to me again until i finally flagged my waitress down to bring me my check! Luckily my order was good, since they never checked! Every other Bob Evan's I've been in, they stop by repeatedly to check that your food is alright and to refill drinks. This location needs to better train their wait staff!

UPDATE My mom wanted to go, so we went. I don't think we will ever go back. They sat us at a table that was sticky with honey. They came and wiped it after we were seated and had gotten honey on our hands - gross! Then my mom's silverware was sticky! The silverware was placed on the table completely wrapped in a napkin, so it did not get sticky from the table, it was dirty before it was brought to our table! Once again the service was terrible. The only time anyone paid attention to us was when we would yell out, "excuse me!" It seems like everyone there is broken or run down. At the other locations they are upbeat and cheerful. They man who seated us today, as well as cashing us out (along with all the other customers), was wearing a completely filthy apron. I just can't figure out why this location has such a terrible vibe to it. The food is still really good. But it is worth the extra time to go to one of the other locations in Steubenville, OH or East...

Went in for breakfast 8/21 around 11:30am.. lobby was pretty full (expected) and was told about 15 minute wait (no issue with that). Provided our name for a party of 3. As we were waiting several other parties arrived, and we watched them give their names and was told about the same wait time. It seemed that it got progressively more chaotic and the person seating people (older gentleman, appeared to be a manager) was seating parties that came in after us!! Parties of 2, 3, and a party of 5 (all of which arrived after us. After over 45 minutes my husband decided that we were leaving.. I made sure that I made several employees aware that they really needed a better system or person seating people as we watched over a dozen people (again, that all arrived after us) be seated. I got an apology and all of a sudden, at that point, was able to seat us right at that moment?? No.. we were not staying after what we witnessed and for the time we had already been...
