A menu from this establishment was given to me from the hotel I was staying in. I called for delivery and the male who picked up stated the driver never came in, so I ordered and went in person to pick it up, even though I was tired from a long drive. I walked into the resturant none of the employees greeted me or my son. We sat down and about four minutes later they asked if I was there for my particular order. I said yes and that was it. Several caucasian people walked in and were greeted with a loud "hello, how are you?". After paying for our food and walking out still on their property my son accidentally dropped the pizza on the stairs.(typically places will replace food free or give a discount) When I showed the clerk and told him what happened he yelled as if he was my father. I heard the males speaking in spanish, I'm sure by the way they were speaking they did not know I spoke spanish. The one guy says make him a medium pizza which I thought was nice, however the other male says (as if it will close the business down) we can give you a medium, so I stated I need a large and I am willing to pay for it. They begin talking about me in spanish again trying to figure out what will they do about my pizza mind you I stated I would pay for it. In spanish The one guy says just charge him $10. The other guy comes up and says just give me $12. I had no issue paying, however if they said $10, why go up? Why speak about me and my son in Spanish? Why not treat us like everyone else. This was the first and last time I will ever visit this place. I watched so many caucasians being treated great as they entered and left, but the black guy, me, was treated as if they were annoyed the entire time. It was very hurtful. If you are a minority I would stay...
Read moreWe were excited to try Mario’s based on the high reviews. The pizza was pretty mediocre, the young lady that took our order was seemingly bothered to do her job. The look on her face when we said we wanted to dine in led me to ask her not once, not twice but three times what time they closed since we seemed to be inconveniencing her by it. We walked in the restaurant at 6:30 on a Saturday, they close at 9:30. It gets even better, when I asked for a fountain drink in lieu of a bottled one, you would have thought I asked for a kidney. We get our pizza, it’s super hot and cheesy and we need silverware to eat it. I get up and stand at the counter for a solid minute watching the delightful Morgan on her phone before she realizes I’m there, she approaches me and I ask politely for silverware, she doesn’t even attempt to disguise the eye roll and hands me the silverware. Being someone raised with good manners I thank her despite her obvious annoyance at being asked to do her job. I’ll let you guess whether or not she uttered a “you’re welcome!” The rest of the employees seemed nice and spoke to us and asked us where we were from. I just can’t imagine why you’d have Morgan as the face of your business. I know good help is hard to come by, but if I were local, this would keep me from...
Read moreI ordered delivery today as it's too hot to cook. I appreciate being able to order via website and the text updates were nice. The delivery time was true to the estimate provided in the text (even got a text updated basically saying they were busier than usual and it bumped the delivery time out about 20 minutes) and the delivery driver was friendly. I ordered the garlic bread (based on a review that it was really good), a cheesesteak stromboli, and a buffalo chicken stromboli (for my fiancé). The garlic bread was so disappointing! The description states "Bread, topped with garlic, herb seasoning, baked to perfection. Supersized for your party." but it is a footlong hoagie roll sliced diagonally Hasselback style and buttered. There was no garlic. There were no herbs. The bread was soft and tasty which was appreciated but at the end of the day it was just buttered bread. The strombolis were good and filling. Everything was piping hot (we live about 4 minutes away according to Google Maps). Overall I would order again (but not the...
