Went when they first opened, maybe a week after opening day.
The sandwich was delicious. A perfectly toasted Reuben that wasn't to toasted to hurt the roof of your mouth. Meat was perfect, so was the sauerkraut.
The price, though, definitely felt off for the portion. Similar priced sandwiches around town are more food, like the TBars club.
However, I thought the service was pretty shallow. I brought my dog in with me on a leash. Didn't see any sign posted. The lady at the register was kind and enthusiastic about my dog. She told me of how the owner brought their dog in all the time and it would bark at the "ghost dog" in the back of the building. After I paid for the sandwich, I believe she went to the cook. The cook then came out and told me my dog wasn't allowed inside and I had to wait outside for my food.
I suppose from a business perspective this makes since. Have the customer pay and then tell them to wait outside. The customer isn't likely to ask for a refund. However, after hearing the story of how the owners dog is in there all the time, it came across as rather disingenuous and low.
Haven't gone back since, just not the right way to treat customers. Also, just as good sandwiches elsewhere in town for the same price and they don't...
Read moreGhost Dog has an amazing selection of sandwiches with homemade ciabatta or sourdough, unique sides such as “funeral potatoes” or caprese salad, and yummy homemade desserts. I highly recommend the gluten-free chocolate cake for a slice of decadence or the frosted sugar cookies for a sweet delight. The mint lemonade is very refreshing, or you can get a variety of flavorful sodas. I love the atmosphere of home-away-from-home with a variety of cute salt shakers, beautiful wallpaper that makes it all pop, and clean, well-kept restaurant and restroom areas. My only wish is that I could buy bread to take home—future...
Read moreThe food was good. I originally ordered the curry chicken sandwich and my partner had the italian. Side of Hawaiian Mac and sesame noodles.
Unfortunately, they gave me the wrong order and I had a turkey sandwich. I still needed to eat bc I live up in glacier view meadows. Was looking forward to the chicken curry sandwich though.
The Hawaiian Mac wasn’t what I was expecting. It was a bit tangy? Grew up in Guam and had a lot of Hawaiian food but that didn’t taste like that. Sesame...
