Owl Canyon Coffee — Restaurant in Wellington

I recently indulged in a fresh scone from Owl Canyon Coffee Shop, and let me tell you, it was hands down the best thing I’ve ever had from a coffee shop. I didn’t even think I liked scones, but this one completely changed my mind – it was that good.

Pairing it with their locally sourced chai tea was just the cherry on top. The flavors are so rich and comforting, you can really tell the care that goes into every cup.

What truly sets Owl Canyon apart, though, is the cozy atmosphere and the warmth of the staff. They make you feel valued every time you walk through the door. This is mostly towards how I’m guessing this place is run than a specific thing with my visit. I can understand slow service or if things are off, but what I can’t understand is how or why a coffee shop of all places would only have one person on staff on a Sunday morning, especially one who was obviously fairly new to the business and extremely overwhelmed. He did the absolute best with what he was given but it’s absolutely irresponsible to be putting him in that position without any support. I would probably guess this place is fairly nice when adequately staffed with people experienced in their jobs but that’s not how it was this morning and I feel so bad for the single person they had working that their job threw them under the bus as bad...

First time at this cute little coffee house and first time having great coffee (other than starbucks.. ew) since I moved from IL. The barista was great and very friendly! The latte I had a was a vanilla and cinnamon latte. I dont remember what the name was but back home we call it a Sweetheart latte. Very good! Not too sweet and not too bitter. Perfect! I used to work as a barista back home and we had manual press machines. I think the one in this store is on the older side but makes the best espresso and the crema was beautiful!
