We have gone here several times over the years. In the past the service was decent and the food was good. However, we recently visited two mornings during our week vacation. The first time we waited for 35 minutes which isn’t bad, however when we were seated it took over 10 minutes for a waitress to greet us and get our drink order. After another few minutes we got our drinks and the waitress started to take our order, stopped half way through and said she needed to go seat people and she’d be back for the rest of the order. She did not come back and another waitress finally took our order, we had been seated for about half hour . It took awhile for the food to come and the toast was burnt black and the eggs were cold. We finished and left, chalking it up to them being busy and having an off day. We then returned to try again. We only waited about 15 minutes, but after being seated waited another 10 minutes to be greeted by our waitress again. Our waitress took our order, and brought drinks. After a few minutes another waitress asked if we had been served and we told her we gave our order. She leaves and comes back, asks us what we ordered and then said it would be ready soon. The food came out about 20 minutes later. When we were finished eating our waitress took our plates, but never brought us a check. I asked for a check after waiting for 10 minutes, and finally received it after a few more minutes. We approached the counter to pay and I had to hunt down a waitress so we could pay. Overall the service was awful, definitely gone...
Read moreWe were craving breakfast since we had to be up early for our hotel check out time. Our first choice was completely packed. Found this place with a quick google search and it was the next closest to us. Figured why not. They waitresses were so welcoming. It was quite busy since it was a Sunday morning. But I didn’t mind waiting. The food was so good. Was just like it would be from home. But besides that there was one thing that stuck out for me more then anything. I want to say it was one of the owners, the wife and mother there. I saw her pictures on the wall with the family so I’m just assuming. But she saw my daughter getting restless. As soon as she brought her her meal, she said “hold on real quick”. Went out to the entrance area and came back with a little soft stuffed animal blanket. Told us it was washed and cleaned. She gave it right to her. As a mother of a two year old child with autism, going out to eat has to be one of the most difficult things to do. The stares we get and the frustration. As we were walking out she stopped us and said that she can keep it and my daughter wouldn’t let go of it the whole 2 hour ride back to mass. If some day she ever sees this, I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for making one time we take the chance to go out a little less harder. For making that little girls day with something so small. It’s so hard to do for us as her parents, yet a stranger did it in the matter of seconds. We will forever be returning for our peaceful breakfast every little “get away” were...
Read moreStaying in Wells for the week and decided to try this place for breakfast. Cute little restaurant with friendly staff. The eldest statesman Freddy is super cute and helpful, must be a little patient with him as he may ask you a couple times if you want something you may have already said no too. He doesn’t say it in a mean or nasty manner at all. He is just an elderly person who might forget easily. But he was super cute and enjoyable. The coffee was the worst thing on the menu, my wife said it tasted like sink water and had very little flavor. The food made up for it, my wife had the eggs Benedict and thought it was quite delicious. I had the Kong’s dinner which included eggs, French toast, bacon and home fries. It was good but not out of this world. The French toast was my favorite part. We would definitely visit this establishment again and maybe bring our own coffee this time. But with the friendliness of the staff and the good food. It’s worth...
