Komodo Gelato — Restaurant in Wellsboro

Stopped in for some gelato yesterday with some friends - we loved it! Ordered an espresso when I saw it was from Alabaster in Williamsport. Got a chance to talk to the owner who is passionate about the food he makes and the coffee he sells. Alabaster is one of the best roasters between here and Philadelphia and beyond, (well, a close second to Buzzsaw Coffee which is weirdly also from Williamsport) and the pour over coffee is from a terrific roaster from Jim Thorpe. Hands down the best coffee you’re going to get in Tioga County. The atmosphere is great as well, very cozy and friendly. Whenever you see the owner in a small business at closing time and he is not only friendly but was cleaning after the customers went through the line you know you have a great place to visit. Come to find out after speaking with him he had help that he sent home a little early and he stayed to close up. You don't find much of this. That alone wins my business. On top of that the gelato was fantastic! He also has a great variety of drinks you don't see just everywhere. Coffee, latte, cappuccino and many more. An amazing addition to Wellsboro! I visited here over Thanksgiving break and came in every day for gelato! His breakfast sandwiches are absolutely amazing, the homemade bread is delicious and the sandwich had the perfect filling to bread ratio. I tried so many flavors of gelato and my favorites were the salted caramel pretzel, lemon honeycomb and peppermint hot chocolate, but every flavor was absolutely delicious.
