I love a good French bakery, so I was really excited when this was set to open. This just isn't a good French bakery, or a particularly good bakery. I have tried half a dozen times since they have opened always hoping they would improve, but this last time was a too sweet, soggy-bottomed, blueberry pie that was soupy even when cold. Blueberry should be complimented with the addition of something tart like lemon, but instead was sprinkled with more sugar. I have also tried poorly laminated, dry croissants, raw in the center cinnamon rolls, etc. The French staples I have asked for have gotten blank stares. I will say that the coffee is good. Read moreReally a top-shelf place, with some of the best pastries and coffee in town! Expect to pay a fair bit, fair warning, but worth every dime. Extremely good espresso drinks, and the crisauant-based pastries are so darn good they'll knock you over. Staff is super friendly, too! One of my wife and my favourite places to stop, although their hours tend to definitely be early-day as you'd expect for a place like this, so we don't get nearly as many chances to stop in as we'd like.
