Riverfront Park is one of several very nice ones in the local river loop, and it pretty well covers the bases that you'd expect for "small river-front park" as the name implies. It kind of ends up as an adjunct to the larger Walla Walla Point Park that's just a few blocks (and conveniently connected by the loop trail) north. Riverfront's claim to fame is the small-gauge railroad that operates in the park on special occasions, usually holidays. The train has fallen somewhat into disrepair in the last few years, but the local club is making a determined effort to put it right. Even with a portion of its track unusable, it makes a really fun ride for kids on a summer afternoon, definitely worth the dollar ticket. Read moreBeautiful park with boat launches spanning from the north end of Wenatchee to the South and although it would be difficult to view at all unless you were on the bike Loop which is an amazing Loop that crosses two Bridges and available for bikers. Many people abide by the saying on the right but it does drive me crazy when people decide to walk all over the trail. I think bikers are very courteous as well on this Park Trail. I bring my family down here to walk, hang out with our dog, play pokemon, and many days I bring my lunch down and just enjoy the peaceful scenery while I eat. There are many safe places to walk or sit and relax, and there are garbage cans and bathroom stops frequently along the park paths, so no need to worry about bringing your kids of all ages and their snacks & drinks too.
