This place appears to be a converted residence from long ago. It has a dingy feel despite some half-hearted efforts to make it look better than an old residence. The nice lady that greeted me was cordial enough, as was the waitress and the nice girl who checked on me constantly (good service). Drinks: They have a full bar and a million wine choices, however I don't drink alcohol and try to stay away from soda, so I ended up with tap water.
The food.... well, the food was expensive to begin with. I ordered the chicken mushroom pasta with 'cheese sauce'. This is a dish I can probably make from scratch in that it isn't very complicated. Despite this fact, the plate was about $20. I was hopeful that the quality of the food, despite the dismal appearance of the place, would make up for the high price. I was WRONG. The pasta was cooked fair enough, the chicken was a little on the raw side which is potentially dangerous and the "cheese sauce"... YUCK! It was very runny and slid right off everything. I could not figure out why until I took a bite. It was without a doubt the most disgusting sauce I have ever been subjected to. For comparison's sake... I'd rather eat re-heated Chef Boyardee or Elementary School Cafeteria chow than this. I swear it was made from Velveeta because it had the same taste, after taste and rubber-like properties. Also I noticed the 'sauce' thickened up significantly as it cooled off, which is another characteristic of Velveeta.
I didn't bother to complain, I just politely paid my bill and high-tailed it out of the place, vowing to never return. At least the waitresses were nice.
BOTTOM LINE: If you like spending too much on low quality food in a ho-hum atmosphere... you've found your place! All others, you are much better off defrosting some...

Read moreWe saved this for the last day of our trip in hopes of ending with a fantastic Italian meal. Unfortunately, it was a letdown. Our waiter brought out our drinks, spilled about 25% of mine on the table, and did nothing. Both of our salads were good (ceasar and buratta, though the buratta was not one of the better ones being light on the burrata itself). The waiter brought out our glasses of wine and spilled ever more of my red wine shaking while he tried to pour it into the glass. Tried to nicely say it would be nice if he brought a little more, which he ignored, did nothing, did not even apologize. We early on asked to ensure time between salad and main course. After picking up salad assured 10 min before food, and the second he left, our dinner courses were served. Tired to say we thought we had 10 minutes. Unfortunately, I had the crab pasta that was light on crab and seemed like it had been sitting, but with tossing around, it was decent. My wife's veal picata was thankfully delicious. We skipped desert and more drinks given the experience. Guessing from other reviews a 4 or 5 star review is certainly achievable, and we saw the potential. Our waiter was likely 90%+ the reason for our low rating given spilled drinks, not managing food service and timing, etc. He also spent more time talking to another table about other jobs he was trying to get (one person finally commented it would be nice if he just did his job that night) and he said to us a couple times he had to do a good job because his manager was watching. If it was an off night for him, it was a big one, but not going to use his name here. Hope next time we are back in town and go back, we have a 5 star...
