We were seated at a 2 seat wood booth. The second we sat down, my husband and I looked at each other and said “Oh!” The booths were old and the seats were shallow, okay, we had experienced this but the backs were angled forward so we felt like we were being launched forward. We sat for an awhile, our waitress was very busy but provided excellent service and was very pleasant. We got our drink and after a bit of being extremely uncomfortable and seeing there were three empty 4 seat booths, I got up and asked the hostess if we could move over to one of those tables if they weren’t spoken for, for a reservation. She gave me a “put out” rude look and said, when they got caught up she’d clean the table. I know by her facial expression and tone, she had no intention of trying to make us more comfortable. We get our salad eat that, still in a launched forward position and my back is starting to hurt. The kind waitress picks up our salad plates and a few minutes later brings our food. There is no way I was going eat dinner in this seat. When she brought our food, she asked if there was anything else and I told her I knew she was busy, but could we move over to this booth. I explained why and she said yes they are old from the 1930’s, let me grab a rag and wipe it down for you. Getting the rag and wiping it down took all of 30-40 seconds. She offered, but we moved our plates and glasses over. The ever so rude hostess that couldn’t be troubled to take 30-40 seconds to make 2 customers comfortable just sealed the deal that that was our first and last time dining at the Windmill. Worst birthday dining...

A group of us celebrated the 50th wedding anniversary of my brother and his wife at this wonderful restaurant. We were camping in the area and decided to have our celebratory meal here. We didn't have any appetizers and went right to the soup and salad. Four of us had a very appetizing salads and the other two had the vegetable beef soup. The salads were yummy and the soup outstanding. The broth in the soup had a little extra spice kick to it with big chunks of beef. For the main entrees one had the steak burger, one had fettuccine primavera, two of us had the 8 oz. top sirloin steak, and one had the ribeye steak. Those of us that had steak found it broiled so well to perfection. It was melt in your mouth tender and juicy, so easy to cut. My wife enjoyed the fettuccine primavera, and my cousin thoroughly enjoyed his steak burger. I had the garlic parmesan fries with my steak and they were delicious. If you are looking for an inexpensive meal, this is not the place for you. If, however, you are looking for a very tasteful meal in a great atmosphere with great service by some of the best people around, this is the place. The staff was very nice and know their menu. I don't think our server lost her smile all night long. For our special family celebration this was a great choice. One last thing. We didn't partake in the desserts, but were told their homemade pies are from scratch....

NEW OWNER---BEWARE! Christmas Day we went for lunch at noon, unaware that it had changed hands.Big mistake. They had two offerings: prime rib with mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, stuffing, and pumpkin pie, think it was $35.95.Second meal was ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie.$29.95. When the meal arrived,it was c o l d. Lumpy potatoes,NO GRAVY,no butter, the green bean casserole had lumps, beans were hard, and HOW DO YOU RUIN A BEAN CASSEROLE???MY 5 year-old could have done better. The wait staff is the same lovely young woman who has worked there for a long time, and I know she would not have served the meal had she been aware of how bad it was.The meat was the only thing we ate,and left most of the meal on our plate. And the pie looked (and tasted) suspiciously as if it had come from a box. Sad to report all this, as it's been our very favorite since the late 1960's.We have birthdays and anniversaries coming up this month, and for the first time ever, we won't be celebrating at The Windmill. The owner is pleasant and friendly, but if he doesn't do something drastic, I predict he won't be in...

Read about this place on Google and it had decent reviews, so gave it a shot. Not bad. The place feels a bit dated, but it looks like an old-timey windmill so really didn't know what to expect. Has a good sized bar and a decent sized restaurant seating area. The wait staff was friendly and the portions were ample. The two of us had a wedge each, enough dressing for four, but that is no knock in my book. The steak was big and cooked right, so many mushrooms - they offer a number of steak toppers for a few $ more. The price wasn't bad for the food. The wine list was decent, lots of WA representation, a little over-priced IMHO. We brought a bottle -18$ corkage fee. Also over-priced, but our wine was great, a gift and totally worth it. Not 5 star dinning, but it a hearty and down to earth place and I'd likely go back the next time I'm in Wenatchee.

Husband and I decided to take a weekend trip to Wenatchee and luckily, we found this GEM!!! To start off, the restaurant is literally a Windmill which is so cool! Then, as soon as we stepped inside, everyone was so nice and welcoming. I got the Sirloin with the Oscar Style toppings and let me tell you, it was cooked perfectly!! Plus, the sides that came with it, especially the salad and baked potato, felt like entrees and were so delicious. My husband got Steakhouse Burger and of course enjoyed every single bite of it! On top of everything, Janelle was an exceptional server!! She had great recommendations on what to order when we were trying to decide and ensured that we were enjoying our meal. We truly enjoyed our chats with her and we cannot wait to come back again for the overall experience of this wonderful place!!

We had reservations at 6 were seated promptly and served water and our drinks quickly. But it took a hour and 10 minutes for our waiter Brandon to finally bring our meals. My tenderloin steak was cooked correctly, not worth waiting 70 minutes for. When he brought out our food I had asked for the stuff on my baked potato to be served on the side. He did that but loaded it full of butter, I said to him I asked for the loaded items to be on the side. He said you did mean the butter too? He offered to go get a plain potato I said no thanks it took you over a hour to bring this one. Brandon did say sorry for the wait. We had to get the hostess to get him to bring our check. He was not a good waiter. I would not go back.
