Chimi's Fresh-Mex — Restaurant in Wentzville

Asked waiter questions about food on the menu.He either didn't understand or answered questions that I didn't ask so I spoke to him in Spanish.Still had a difficult time.Said we'd be ready in 2 minutes after 5or6,we had2flag him down.He took our order,brought our plates in good timing brought me out flour tortillas,never asking me what kind I wanted,cuz I would have chosen corn. My wife's whole plate was cold. Later in the day she ended up getting sick to her stomach. Manager came over to see what the problem was and halfway through my sentence started to walk away and left with the cold plate! When she came back I told her she was rude,she said she didn't hear me which was untrue because she came back asking what did we need. I was wanting to let her know what kind of enchiladas were on the plate. The corn tortillas came out and after that we never saw the waiter again.My wife needed pepper so we asked the hostess when she went by. She was very friendly and obliged. The only time the waiter came back was to bring us the check and only then did he ask us did we want any water or soda,what a joke! The trio enchiladas were good flavored and you got a good amount of food for the money.I ordered carnitas they were okay, almost way more vegetables that cover the meat and not all the way cooked.I will not order them again. Strangest experience. They brought my wife the wrong fajita, she ordered chicken and they brought a chicken/ shrimp combo of some sort. Guy who delivered the food spoke no English. Service was slow and rather than complain she said she was fine and will just eat what they served her. Five minutes later the food deliverer comes back wanting her plate. She told him she’s ok she already ate off of it, he went and got another server who spoke English, she again repeated she had already ate off of the plate and they seemed upset over it. Five minutes later our server walks up and tells my wife she didn’t order that. She agreed and said it’s ok though I’m good. He then scolded her and said the problem is someone else doesn’t have their food because she has it. He still wanted her plate that had been at our table for a good 8 min or so. Didn’t seem to mind that she had ate from it, was still going to bring it to another table. Maybe discuss that with your cook/ food delivery guy? If we saw our server more than every 15-20 minutes she could’ve sent it back but the service was very slow and we had already waited 45 min for our food. Craziest way to respond to their...

We tried this place twice. The first time we thought ok maybe it was just a bad day, so we came back tonight. The service was horrible. Fernando was our server and he cared more about the people at the bar than he did his own tables he was serving. We sat for over 10 minutes before we were greeted and had our order taken. When we got our food we were never asked how it was not got refills the whole meal. This included the table next to us but he sure did check up on the group at the bar who apparently had a birthday to where they cracked eggs on the guys head! At this point we simply waited till he finally came back to put table and we just asked for boxes to go and our check. That took another good 20 minutes cause he made a few more stop at the bar. We watched him interact with a few of his tables through out the night but between us and a few more others he completely left us alone and I'm sure you will get the same complaints. He even shook hands with those tables he interacted with!!! Now us not a chance!!! Needless to say there was no tip. And I doubt we will be back. We tried twice and both times the service...
