Where Ihop is concerned, I have an excessively low standard. My family and I went in tonight around 7:00 pm. The food was decent and served quickly. Whoever's in the kitchen should get a commendation. We sat down and there was a prior party's coffee pot on the table. That coffee pot was never picked up during the meal. I requested a soda without ice. Our server was super rude, slamming down my son's drink when I asked her to bring me a new drink without ice when she brought my drink to the table with ice. We watched the staff bus a table directly across from us, leaving a dirty shake glass on the table for the entirety of our meal. When we ordered our meal, I had requested that a flavored syrup be brought to our table. Our food arrived but we still had no silverware or napkins at our table. I had to ask the person who brought us our silverware for the flavored syrup. We watched our server sit parties right after each other without cleaning the tables first. She also sat parties right next each other, even though there was plenty of room for everyone to be spread out. At some point, she gave our check to another table. Rather than apologize and explain her error, she put the correct check on our table, which was previously on another table. This is gross and unsanitary. The server was lazy to the point where I felt like we were irritating her by eating at the restaurant. When we arrived home, my husband noticed a trail of syrup down the back of his pant leg. This restaurant has to be the dirtiest we've ever eaten at. We would not feel safe dining here again with how dirty our table was or how beyond lousy our...
Read moreMy husband, son, grandson (age 6), granddaughter (age 4) and I came into the IHOP around 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon. There were only people at a couple of tables, and when we came in, it took around 10 minutes to be acknowledged. When we were finally acknowledged the lady asked if we were there to pay for our meals. I told her we had not even been seated yet. Once we were seated our drink orders were taken immediately as were our food orders. It took quite a while to get our food, and once it came out, there was no silverware given to us. My husband asked the server for silverware and she went to get it. She came back and said she was sorry, but that they were "ALL OUT OF SILVERWARE". She apologized, so my husband told another server that we would not have any money to pay for our meals if they did not have any silverware for us to eat our meals. We finally got our silverware, but our son was shorted a piece of fish in his 3 piece meal. He had to ask for it. All the while we could hear the staff chatting in the kitchen, however although there were no other patrons in the restaurant at that time, none of the tables had been bussed. This place is poorly managed, and we will not be back. We have eaten here several times and never had such a bad experience. I'm not sure what has changed, but we will find somewhere else to eat in the future. What restaurant says that they are "all out of silverware"? We actually thought later that we were getting punked or something....
Read more(latest review 7/15/24, 4:45pm - Dinner) There were 3 tables occupied, the rest were empty. We were seated near the middle of the room, and were immediately dripped on by the a/c in the ceiling. Really? THAT's where they seated us. After moving to another table, we ordered. I ordered the Fisherman's platter (fish, shrimp, fries). Food came and I had fish, shrimp & a small portion of fries. I also had a very small cup of tarter sauce. I asked for cocktail sauce, and the waitress said they didn't have any. I asked why she didn't mention that when I ordered. She shrugged her shoulders and said, "sorry", and walked away. #1: This isn't the FIRST time this has happened, but I can tell you . . . it's the LAST. #2: Waitress should have notified me. #3: Some sort of compensation should have been made. #4: Schnucks is ACROSS THE STREET. If you're out of something . . . GO GET IT! #5: Red ketchup bottles looked full, but were empty. I had to check 3 other tables before I found one that was 1/2 full. I've left negative reviews on this ihop previously, but NO MORE for me. I usually tip generously, but not this time. This is the last straw. Now I'm on a mission to spread the word on this place. Who does their inventory? How can a restaurant run out of anything, when there is a grocery store across the street. IT'S SHAMEFUL. JUST...
